I understand why the rule was put into place, but am I alone in my thinking it is just going to clutter it up even more now? Turn it more into a huge ltco thread (without self promo of course)?

I would not be surprised at all if this new rule made the Welcome thread worse instead of better. I generally avoid LTCO because of that feeling like I need to "pounce" as soon as someone posts. I know there were a few folks here who did not care for people posting generic welcomes there, but I think before long another rule will be needed as I dont think this will solve the Welcome Thread issue. Ugghh...
