I understand why the rule was put into place, but am I alone in my thinking it is just going to clutter it up even more now? Turn it more into a huge ltco thread (without self promo of course)?

Thing is the welcome thread is just to welcome folks so why would anyone have to watch it constantly just to be the first one to post. Very few new traders ever go back to look at replies -though I am sure there are few who do- And why the need to post there soo often? I mean if you post once a day to welcome anyone new it seems that would be sufficient. The rule was implemented because as with everything here it was being abused and all kinds of posts and questions about what was ok and what wasnt (again because of those trying to push the limits) So now it a "Rule" and will be enforced but I don't see why it should make it worse that it already is
