Most of this week has been horrible. I did get out on Tuesday but since then, I've been stuck in the house. We have so much snow and ice on the roads that the Army didn't even make my hubby go into work yesterday and the day before was home 2 hours after he went in. Yes, the Army has snow days! Our roads haven't been salted or plowed. I like the snow around Christmas, but this is almost too much. I guess it's a good thing I got my Christmas shopping done two weeks ago.

Now we have below freezing temperatures. Great! So, the snow won't melt but neither will the ice on the road. I am just grateful that I do not have drive anywhere this Christmas, but it would be nice to be able to get out of the house.

Merry Christmas my friends!:santaclaus::santaclaus:

Okay, yes title is harsh but truth is I am so tired of their secretive and deceptive ways. Last week, I find out that my sister is getting married and I wasn't even supposed to know. Today, I find out everyone is invited to the wedding with the exception of a few selective family member oddballs (me included). What the heck gives? I haven't done one thing to my family to be treated this way. I am just sick and tired of it and really have a few choice words for these people who "say" they're my family when they get something out of it.

I would like to confront them, but guess it will go nowhere. I just sometimes wish I had been chosen by another family. This isn't the first time it's happened. I wasn't invited to 4 of my siblings weddings for various excuses (you're in the military so we're not going to invite you; your husband's returning from Iraq so you two don't want to be here; you just had a baby so you won't want to travel so we won't invite you). Nobody asks me if I WANT to be left out, they just assume. UGGHH...I just want to give them a piece of my mind. Oh well...guess it will just be me and my happy family.

If you have any advice on how to deal with this let me know because this hurts big time....

Twice this weekend, I have seen a trader take tutorials, directly from the "members tutorials" area and copy and paste the work as their own. One of these such tutorials happened to be mine. I worked on it for several weeks, making sure it was just the way I liked it. I decided to post it in the tutorial section and about 30 minutes later, I am notified that someone else had copied it and posted it as their own work.

Now, I, and other traders, don't mind other traders utilizing the tutorials in that area. What we do mind is someone trying to "steal" our words and use them as their own. As a writer, I do not take plagiarism lightly. If you want to have a posting that redirects to the tutorial, go for it, but don't simply just copy and paste words that don't belong to you. This also goes for copying trade threads verbatim. ALWAYS give credit where it is due, if you hope to carry a good reputation around the boards.

Yes, look around and use the ideas, but use your own words. Personality is what makes this business work for each trader. Let your personality shine in everything you post here. Gain ideas from reading other successful traders' postings, but add a personal touch to it.

My Mental Roadblocks to Losing Weight

For the last 3 years, I've struggled to lose weight. What can I say? I love food....correction, I enjoy eating and overeat or just don't care about the crap I feed myself. Well, that mentality changed last summer, when my hubby deployed. That same mentality returned when he came home for R & R this past April/May. It's crazy but most of the roadblocks I have encountered, when trying to lose weight is mental.

I get discouraged if I hit a stall or plateau. I know these exist but why do they have to be so long!!!! I do enjoy the taste of food and recently realized the stuff I enjoyed so much was so salty and disgusting, another mental thing. Going to the gym was a chore and not enjoyable...yup all mental for me. I guess you could say, when it comes weight loss, I am a mental case!

So yesterday, I grudgingly took myself to the gym. I've grown to enjoy it over the last year, but the last few weeks have been so hectic that I neglected my daily "mommy" time. Anyways, I went in there and worked hard and boy am I feeling it now! It makes me feel better, thanks to the rise in the chemicals in the brain!

Now my mentality is in crunch time! Hubby's coming home really really soon and have to lose some more weight, especially since vacation is coming. Anyways, my mantra when it comes to weight loss is this (and we have all heard it before): "90% mental and 10% physical". I can overcome the mental roadblocks and take the physical ones at face value.

I've only been a member of FLR for 2 weeks and I have to say, I am happy with the results I have been seeing. I was quite skeptical about this being profitable, but now I see how great this really is!

In the short 2 weeks I have been here, I've managed to make about $400. Not bad, I have to say since I've tried multiple businesses that got me nowhere but in debt! I am actually enjoying this and it'll be nice to show the hubby that I am doing something profitable for a change.

To everyone out there just starting out, it does work! I am going to stick to it because it's a great thing that we have going on here. I am just grateful for finding FLR and thanks to everyone who I have worked with and those who I may have the chance to work with in the future. Everyone here is just amazing!
