Newbie Advice – Part 1: Things To Consider When Building Your Portfolio

If you’re new… then before you agree to your first trade, read this so you don’t make the same mistakes I did! What every Newbie needs to know …

When I found Project Payday and the Free Lunch Room, I read everything and watched all the videos. I thought I was ready to go, but all I was concerned about was how to make money! Isn’t that what’s on most everyone’s mind when they start??? I was broke and all I focused on was the high paying sites so I could make the most money. I didn’t think about anything else. Well, that’s all fine and good, except… THERE’S A LOT MORE TO METHOD 1 and if you are not aware of the things I’m going to share with you here, you’ll really be stuck when you want to do Method 2. These are things I never thought about when I first started out…

Here’s the Skinny:

1 – You will make some money doing Method 1, but the real money is made in Method 2. So the secret of Method 1 is to Build A Great Portfolio Of Sites You Can Offer In Method 2. That is your focus!

2 – When deciding on which sites to do, money is a consideration, but it’s not the most important one.

Things to Consider:

1 - Prizes

2 - Number of Referrals to Cash Out
3 - Repeatable/Forever Green vs. One-And-Done Sites
4 - Offers
5 - Site Reliability / Service / Support
6 - Trader to Help You

1 - Prizes

Each site offers different prizes… some offer cash… some offer products… some both. Are you interested in the prizes they are offering? If not, why bother doing a site if you don’t want what they offer? You could possibly sell the item later on eBay… but, consider if that is something you want to do. On the other hand… if you definitely want an iPod for example, then be sure to add a site that offers an iPod. You see… it works both ways! =)

2 - Number of Referrals to Cash Out

The next thing to consider is how many referrals you need to go green before you obtain your prize? The reason this is important is if it’s 1 referral, then when your referral goes green, you can be paid by the site. However, if the site requires 3, 4, 5 or more referrals for your prize, that means you will have to pay referrals out of your pocket until you build up enough green referrals at the site for you to receive your prize. CASH FLOW is the thing you want to think about. If your cash flow is lean, then be sure to add some 1 referral sites to your portfolio. You can always add more sites later if you choose. Also, if a site requires multiple refs to cash out, you can put in a Support Ticket at the site to see if their Custom Order prize will allow you to cash out after 1 referral. I’ve had some success in doing this.

3 - Repeatable/Forever Green vs. One-And-Done Sites

Repeatable
Sites means you green once and you are forever green. You can cash out referrals forever without having to do any more offers. You will want to have a lot of Repeatable sites in your portfolio.

One-And-Done Sites mean you green once, you cash out once, and you are done with the site.
Some of the easiest One-and-Done sites are TRAINN sites which only take 1 or 2 offers to green. Usually traders will require someone to either have completed a few trades with them first or have a TR rating of 3 or above before they will allow you to do a TRAINN site with them. Currently there’s only one TRAINN site you can Re-Green on. That’s YourFree360Games.com.

Thanks Pamela for your advices, I'm a newbie here and a newbie in this way to make money. I'm a new member in Project PayDay and the first time here. Can you help me more to have a good start and make some money? I'm from Canada and I understood that is more difficult for Canadians to become green, so, do you have some advice?
    Thank you in advance.

    Thank you so much !!
You finally put together a real guide to success.
I got tired of asking questions and only getting partial answers ... with referrals to complete offers.
This is the best guide I came across so far!
