Beginners 101 – Part 2: How to Get Started, Do Offers and Get Credit!

Getting Ready to Do Offers

1 – Review Site and Potential Offers

When thinking about completing a site, click on the “View Offers” link your Trader/Referrer has provided you. Important: Do Not Sign Up with the View Offers link as You will NOT BE PAID since Your Referrer won’t be paid. This link is so you can plan which offers you want to complete for the number of credits you need to go green. Have a few alternatives in your back pocket just in case something doesn’t credit, or if when you actually get into the offer details, you find something that you don’t want to do. Make a list so you are organized when you do the site.

Remember to choose offers that you are truly interested in and will give a fair chance. If you sign up for Blockbuster, order the rental movies. If you sign up for vitamins… try them! The whole reason behind freebies is that advertisers want to have people try their product and hopefully want to stay with their product. If you do want to cancel, you can without problem. Just keep good notes so you know when your trial is over and cancel before then.

2 – PM Your Mentor (Trader/Referrer) and Let them Know You Want to Set Up a Trade

Once you have a list of offers to do and are confident you can go Green, send a PM (Private Message) to your Mentor (Trader/Referrer) to let them know you want to set up a trade. They will set it up in the Trade Manager.

3 – Confirm the Trade in the Trade Manager

Go to the Trade Manager, Click on Trades Awaiting Confirmation, Click on the Trade and Click Accept.

4 – Use Your Referral’s Link to Sign Up at the Freebie Site

Your Referrer will send you their link either in a PM (Private Message), or it will be in the Trade itself. You must sign up with their referral link as it is the only way you will be paid. I cannot stress this enough!

Note: If you are trying to sign up at a site when you have previously signed up with a sister site, you will get a message that the email address you are using is already registered. Simply sign in as an Existing User and select to Extend Your Registration. Do not sign up with a different email address as that would be considered duplicate logins and possible fraud.
An example of sister sites (or sites owned by the same company) would be “Audio.YourHugeRewards” and “Laptops.YourHugeRewards”.

Now You Are Ready to Complete Some Offers… 7 Steps to Success!

1 – Disable Antivirus, Anti-Spyware and Firewalls

They block cookies. Some people have said they don’t need to do this step and they credit fine. Others recommend it highly. I figure, it’s better to give the process a full opportunity to credit without hampering it in any way. And the short amount of time you’ll be doing offers minimizes the risk of internet intrusion. What I did that helped me credit successfully was disable the programs, do all the offers, and then enable the programs some time afterwards. I also did a scan of my system if I was on the internet for a long time without protection, but never had anything turn up. So, I think I was just being paranoid! (LOL)

With different programs out there, it’s hard to tell you how to disable your software. Check into the Help Section in your software and hopefully you will find all the information you need.

For Firewalls, I discovered I had two on my system. One built in with my Microsoft Windows Operating System on my PC and one with McAfee Software. Be sure to disable both of them.

2 – Disable Pop-Up Blockers and Accept Cookies

Internet Explorer v6: Select Tools, Internet Options, Privacy, Accept All Cookies, Uncheck Block PopUps, Click Apply and then OK.

FireFox v2: Select Tools, Options, Content, Uncheck Block Pop Up Windows. Then Click on Privacy, Accept All Cookies until they expire. Click OK.

3 – Clear Cookies

Clear Cookies between Freebie Sites. You should not clear cookies between offers.

Internet Explorer v6: Select Tools, Internet Options, Delete Cookies, OK.

FireFox v2: Select Tools, Clear Private Data, Uncheck everything and just check Cookies. Click “Clear Private Data Now”.

4 – At the Freebie Site, Refresh the Page

Because you just cleared your Cookies, you will no longer be logged in. That’s a good proof your cookies are cleared! Login again to the site.

5 – Complete an Offer

A - Use your list and click on an offer. Let the offer page completely load before you start to do anything.

B - Read Everything! The TOS (Terms of Service) and any links about How It Works, etc.

C - Write Down (or use a spreadsheet) all the specifics of the offer. For example:

- Offer Name
- Trial Period (Does it start from the order date, ship date, or when the product is received?)
- Date you Need To Cancel By (calculate 2 days prior to the end of the trial)
- Customer Service phone number / email address
- Where and How to Cancel the Offer (i.e. phone, online, email)
- Trial Offer Cost
- Cost thereafter if you want to keep the offer, or if you don’t cancel in time
- Any Comments like what the offer is designed to do (i.e. Weight Loss, Vitamins, etc…)

You might even print pages from the offer, or copy text into a Word Document if that would be easier for you. Sample Spreadsheets are available or ask for mine anytime. Be sure to include your email address so I can email it to you.

D - Use Accurate Information When Filling Out Offers – Not using accurate information (name, address etc…) will cause you to be put on Hold, also known as Going Red. Your Trader will not get credit when you go Red, and if it cannot be cleared up, they will require you to repay any money they paid to you.

E - When done with the offer, if you get another offer instead of a Thank You page, this is known as a Piggy-Back Offer. You do not have to complete these in order to credit on the Freebie Site. Look for the “No Thanks” link if you do not want to do the offer. If you do not find one, then go ahead and do the offer. Remember to Read Everything, and get phone numbers for Customer Service. If you do a PiggyBack offer, then most likely you will have to cancel the offers separately. They probably will have a different trial period also.

6 –Leave the Thank You Confirmation Page Open for 10 minutes

When you finish an offer, you will get a “Thank You” page. Leave this up for 10 minutes and DO NOT GO SURFING. You might want to get up from your computer and take a break so you’re not tempted to move the mouse! =) This will allow the proper time for credits to be transferred to the site. Remember that not all “Instant” credits really happen instantly. They can take up to a couple of days. So don’t worry if the offer isn’t credited properly right away. You will read this next statement all over the FLR… Patience is the key in this business!

7 –Complete Enough Offers to Go Green

When you’re ready to do the next offer, close the Thank You page you’re viewing. This should take you back to the Freebie Site. Click on the next offer and repeat everything in Step 5 again. Do Not Clear Cookies between offers.

Clear Cookies when going from one Freebie Site to another Freebie Site… Not between offers on the same site.

When you have completed enough offers to total a full credit (or however many the site requires), the site’s status page will show you have gone Green by saying Congratulations!
