Media Mogul Me Offer

I would like to start by saying that I should have followed my instincts. Instinct told me that this was a bad choice. When I don't follow my instincts something horrible happens!

I checked out a traders Paying For Referrals Thread.

I looked over the offers carefully, I saw that there were offers I could complete and go green on a particular site. Of course I contacted the trader and asked them to set up a trade for that site. Of Course the trader was more than happy to do so.

I go on over, confirm that trade and sign up at the IFW site.

I go immediately to the offers I spied that I wanted to complete. Well one offer I clicked on was redirected to a totally different sight. So I put in a support ticket to let the site administrators know.

I start looking around to see what other offers I can do to get my green. Ok, now let me disclose that I had originally chosen 2 offers that were for 1/2 credit each. Because one offer was not doable I have to make allowances to get my green.

I spy

I clicked on the link, read the TOS a couple of times and all the way through. I didn't want to miss anything.

I see that I will be charged $1.00, as shown on the offers page. You have to watch these amounts. When you look at the offers page; you see the amount you will pay for the offer. Sometimes when you get to the offer and look at their specific TOS page this amount is different.

Ok, time to get my 1/4 credit for this new IFW site I want to green. I fill out the information, make my payment and am taken to a duplicate page, the only difference is that instead of an order box, there is a message stating that my order has been placed.

I have not recieved a confirmation E-Mail from this company, or any communications for that matter. Nor is there a way to 'Sign into' the site to use the advertised offer.

Interesting thing is that I have recieved the 1/4 credit for this offer, from the IFW site.


Next, Looking at my PayPal account I see this:

    I SEE RED FLAGS HERE!

    I do understand that there are some companies that do a preauthorization charge, just to make sure that I have the funds in the account.
    • I have not recieved any communications or confirmation letter from this site.
    • I do not see an E-Mail address listed, to contact them, anywhere on the site.
    • The company did do exactly what they said they would NOT do, and infact did exactly what they wanted to do, instead of what they claim in the TOS.
    • There is NO sign in for this site to begin using their services.
    I will call them in a few days, if the extra charge is not dropped.

    I get the feeling I am going to have to fight to get my $ back, If infact I do not ever recieve any further information or a way to use the services.

    Same thing here.My bank put my debit card on hold for fraud alert since the company is out of U.S. Called the 800# and recording said office closed until Monday, Dec. 1st.

    They did not do what TOS states.

    Update:

    On Saturday I attempted to call this company at the customer service phone number in the TOS.

    There was a recording that stated that they would be closed until Monday Dec. 1, 2008, due to Thanksgiving holiday.

    I see that on Nov. 28, 2008 the $1.00 was charged to my account, but the hold for $29.95 was lifted at the same time.

    I have never received any communications from this company. I was not given an opportunity to create an account or access the information that this company offers.

    I did call the company again today. I had to call three times in a row to get through to "Apple", a customer service rep.

    The first two times I called I reached a male voice recording that states that the next available representative will be with me and to hold the line. After a couple of minutes a female voice recording stating that all representatives are on another call and to call back in an hour or two.

    I did not wait an hour or two. I just dialed immediately. On the third try I reached the male voice first. Within less than a minute a female answered. Funny, her voice sounds exactly like the female recording that told me to call back in an hour or two.

    At first Apple could not find my account. She did find the account. When I told her that I want to cancel she prompted me to continue with the service. I explained to her (for the second time) the reasons why I want to cancel and she gave me a cancellation code, upon which informing me that my account will be canceled as of today and that no further charges will be charged to my account.

    Reason for canceling:
    • I have received no communications from this company at all.
    • I have not been given the opportunity to create an account or login to access the service.
    • My seven day trial is over tomorrow; I have been charged for the trial fee and have not had the opportunity to try the service.
