Other things that I do...besides FLR!

As most of you know I spend most of my time in here...blogging, chatting, gaming in the arcade, posting (as you can see the ridiculous post count), and obviously trading! But I do also do other things too.
First off I make slide shows for people out of thier pictures...or photomontauges as some people call them. I dont do much of it but I have started a website and now I am just trying to figure out how to upload one or two of my finished movies onto the site...lol. I also plan, promote, and execute concerts. With a team of others...we start a show by picking a date and a venue...then find the bands and the sponsors...then put it all together with permits, contracts, vendors, programs, passes, tickets, etc. It is very involved and lots of details. We got into this a while back (we meaning me, my brother, and my dad) while helping one of my dad's friends out with his concert. Lococbazooka is the largest outdoor music festival on the eastern seaboard and we have been a part of that for a while now. Each year I get to meet the most interesting people and working the show is a blast! In the past two years we have gone off on our own and done a few other shows that were inspired by Dan (the creator/owner of locobazooka) and he has backed us in our endeavors. My little brother decided that this is what he REALLY wants to do and with Dan's help they got permission from Stefan's highschool last year to put on a rock concert at the school and donate the money to the school and to a charity of our choice (Make-a-wish). It was fun and Stefan (my brother) was sucessful. So my little bro is now planning the 2nd annual In Rock We Trust...this year at a much cooler venue...and the attendance should be nice too. We also did a concert in Costa Rica last winter (Jan) and that was crazy...and it went so well that the big bear company has given us a $50k sponsorship/budget for the next winter...we are all very excited about it...we will be sure to have a few great bands there and what a trip it will be. Also we to a sober festival in the summer. so yup we do 4 concerts a year and they all take lots of work!!! It is quite a big deal...and it is predominantly rock bands/music. And I am very excited because Spirit Airlines just agreed to sponsor and now our Costa Rican, and Texan bands will be able to fly here with no snags...such a big deal! Right now I am focusing on In Rock We Trust because it is the next one on May 3rd...if you are interested in checking it out...visit... www.InRockWeTrust.net
It's funny because I started doing the slideshows because we needed to run the sponsors on one on the jumbotrons so i learned how to do it so that we didnt have to hire out...and now i get the occasional side job from that for graduations and stuff!!!

oh the concert stuff is fun...its odd how we just fall into things sometimes...but with everything comes stress and the problem with time management! but definately come out to a show...You and Andy should plan to come to costa rica this year!!!Posted 04-17-2008 at 01:05 AM by Lucky777
