How to Record and Keep Track of Trial Offers

When I first started doing offers back in October I used a notebook and jotted everything down. I also used a calendar to keep track of all the ending dates of trials.

For every site I worked on I would start with a fresh page in the notebook. On the top of the page I would write the site name, how many credits it took to complete the site, the trader I was doing the site for, their referral number and how much I was being paid for the site.

Next, I would start with the first offer and record everything like this:

Name of Offer: eAuction Expert
Sign up date: 1-2-2008
Cost: $4.95 for the trial----$39.95/month when trial is over.
Credits: 1/2 credit
Trial Time: 14 days
Last day of trial: 1/15/2008 (I would mark this date on my calendar.)
Credit Card used: Visa xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx
Company number and/or email: 1-800-xxx-xxxx
Special Notes: conformation number or order # (if there is one,) Must ship back CD with RMA# to confirm ending the offer.

I did this for every offer I did on a site and never had any problems keeping track of everything.

I know a lot of people use spreadsheets to keep track of everything but there were 2 reasons why I didn't:
1) I had my computer crash twice last year and I lost everything on it both times. I know you can back everything up but what happens if it crashes when you are right in the middle of doing something.
2) When I first started freebie trading I knew the basics of computers. Spreadsheets and Excel were way beyond my capabilities at that time...lol.So I just stuck with the old-fashion pen and paper.

However you decide to record your offers, just make sure you keep detailed information.

I hope this helps you keep track of your offers.

Well today will go down as a very sad day in my memory. My 6 yr.old, English Mastiff, Samantha died in my arms this morning. When she was 2 years old she was diagnosed with a heart murmur and we were told she would lead a normal life and as she got old we would have to put her on medication. Well 2 weeks ago she stopped eating and was not breathing normal. I took her into the vet and the x-rays revealed her heart was the size of a cantaloupe. I had a very hard decision to make-should I put her down right then and there or take her home, make her comfortable, and let her die peacefully at home? I knew my kids would be very upset if I didn't let them say good bye and she still was acting pretty normal. I took her home and started her on the meds and she seemed to get better. She started eating a little and her breathing seemed to be not so labored. A few days ago I noticed her color was not good and she was sleeping a lot more than normal. I called the vet and she said we should start preparing. Well this morning I grabbed my cup of coffee and started my daily routine on the computer with Samantha laying by my side. She started to whine and I knew something was wrong and got down on the floor and held her, petting her and telling her it was time. She passed very quickly with her head in my lap. It is so hard to let go but I know she is in a better place. I also know that someday in the future I will see her again when I pass over to the other side.

When I first joined FLR in October I was just a little bit leary to join such a large community of unfamiliar faces. Now I look forward to signing on every morning and seeing what sorts of mischief my FLR family has gotten into since I last logged on. I love it here. I have made some great friends; met some interesting people; but most of all I love the willingness of so many people to help out when one of us has a problem.
