TEN Things all new traders should know! - Free Lunch Room
Go Back   Free Lunch Room > Blogs > Lori's Blog about FLR and life in general.

Thanks for checking out my blog. I post here when something is on my mind or think I have information that is useful to share. I encourage others to post here and ask questions. If I don't know the answer I will help you find it.
I love trading here and have met so many wonderful people. Some days I forget about trading because I'm having too much fun chatting with other members and friends.
I also enjoy having the opportunity to help many new members find their way and get a solid start here. It is exciting to see people go from their first trade and become an experienced trader who is able to go on and help others.
This should be a safe place for all of us to have fun and make money, but be sure you are dealing with someone you can trust. Check out someone's trade rating, feedback, and posts. Also keep an eye on the lunch theft forum and be on the look out for those to steer clear of.
I am online every day throughout the day, so keep an eye out for me!

Happy trading all!

1. Never work with anyone who Spams you. If you receive any private messages/ visitor messages/ IMs from someone you did not contact first; REPORT IT!!

2. You can make a profit greening for others, but remember you also need to have some money to spend to complete the offers. The purpose of Method 1 is to build your own portfolio of sites to refer others to in Method 2. That is where you will really make some great money!!

3. Do not rush! Read all you can. Avoid costly mistakes by reading the fine print and investigating your trade partners before agreeing to anything.

4. A good mentor should not just be concerned with you greening but making sure you understand the whole process. They should also be available long after you are done trading with them to answer questions and help as you transition to Method 2.

5. "Instant" offers do not always credit instantly. Yes, its frustrating, but patience is a must!

6. Don't give up. We all made little mistakes when starting out or got frustrated. But you won't make any money by quitting.

7. Read the rules of the forum.

8. You never work alone here. We all need each other to make money. Your trade partner needs you to green in order for them to get paid. So if you need help, just ask!!

9. Follow your gut! If you have a bad feeling about a trader, trade or offer... move on.

10. Have fun and treat others the way you want to be treated. Remember every post you make is being seen by potential trade partners. Choose how you want to represent yourself.

Happy, safe trading all!!
