Last night I was completing the Video Professor offer on jewelz.freebiez-r-us, filled in all my info and went to hit the Submit button. The Confirmation page comes up, but on top of it there was a pop over window, the type that you need to click Yes/No to see the page underneith. This window was offering some kind of credit report check free trial. Anyway, because I have read and been told to let the confirmation page 'simmer' for a good 5 minutes or so before you use the computer again to make sure you get credit for the offer I did not really catch the pertinent info on this pop over window figuring I would just turn the offer down when I get back so I turned the tv on and watched the news. I came back about 7 minutes later and that pop over window was gone!

So my questions are:

1) Should I be concerned that I may have inadvertently been signed up to some trial offer I have no interest in and didnt actually approve? I should mention that I have checked my card account and there is no suspicious charges on it and there was no welcome/confirmation e mails waiting for me either.

2) has this occured to anyone else on this forum and if so do you know the company's name that was doing that third party offer? If I can find that, I may call them to make sure I am not signed up with them.
