How to get started here on the FLR in a nutshell:

My first suggestion is that you take a hour or so and go through the different pages here on the FLR. I suggest you read as much as you can. Especially the beginners sections... The MORE you learn here, the MORE you'll make!
**But do not try to do all of this in one day you can do trades and learn also.**

It's important to do business with traders you feel comfortable with! I know this is a LOT to take in, just take your time & ask as many questions as you need to. We were all NEW at one point & there's a lot of traders willing to help you.

Starting off here
The basic idea here is to complete offers for different sites to get "credit". Credits is the same as getting paid for work done. The offers are from various companies to try their product for a specified trial period. Some of the offers offer a FREE TRIAL or $1.00, but others are more like $6.00 and up. It varies offer by offer. I normally suggest that beginners in this business start off doing all of the lower priced offers first So that they do not spend to much money on the offers verses the payout.

You get credit for each offer that is completed that means you go green on the offer. The amount of the credit PER OFFER varies: 1/2, 1/4, 1/3, and so on. So, to get credit at a site where it calls for 1 full credit. You might have to do 3 - 1/3 credits, or 4 - 1/4 credits. Many sites are 1 credit sites and easy to do. While some of the more advanced sites will require more credits. You also have the opportunity to do 2,3,4 credit sites they are considered advance sites and payout is more.

Once you complete all requirements of each site, your then go "green" Then, you get paid, based on the payout that is listed in a trade manager or next to each site on my thread page.

The only way to get paid, is to use a referral links that is send to you by the trader each trader has there own links assigned to them by the company which hosts the offers. These referral links allow the traders to know you are working on the site and allows them to pay you when you go GREEN.

*Important * It is very important that you give each & every offer a fair trial. If you've given a trial a fair shot and it's just not for you, That is o.k. Just DO NOT cancel any of the offers until about 2 or 3 days before the trial period ends or so. Canceling too soon will make you go "red" which means neither you nor the trader gets paid!!

After You finished your offers we need to leave feedback for one another. you do that so that you can obtain a itr trating that is the little numbers you see at the left under the avatar on all the pages.

Before We Get Started.
One thing that helped me when I first started out was creating a NEW email account that is only for the uses of this business. I use gmail. That way you can keep your personal email separate & don't have to sort thought what's personal & was trading related.

Next I always encourage people to making sure your PC is running well before doing any offers!

Run Spyware Terminator.
Make sure after you run it to exit out of the Program.
Run Advanced SystemCare.
Then Disable or Exit the program.
Check your system to if it needs Defragmentation.
Go to Start left bottom of the computer then Programs then Accessories then System Tools then Disc Defragmenter.

You WILL need a credit card or check card to do offers. You cannot do it with a prepaid credit card or a debit card.
And a Paypal account that is verified. Also make sure you have a browser that you can have several windows open like Mozilla firefox

These steps below is for you to set up on using Firefox. I believe this is the best browser to do this business on. Most Traders recommend it, as I do.If you do not have Firefox

Now set up a separate user account on your computer.
I have named mine FLR this account I use only to do offers with and have it set at the lowest security settings with no tool bars, firewalls, or any other add ons that may interfere with cookies. I use gmail as my email host.

You can Sign up with the referral link the trader gave you... Or...Check out the offers and copy the terms with your regular account deciding which offers you want to do, then after logging out.
Then log on to your offers account. ( the one you have preset to the lowest security setting).
Run CC Cleaner.

Then Log on to Firefox & Go to the Freebie site. DO NOT LOG IN!
Make sure that your pop-up blocker is off.
Go to Tools then Options then Content then Uncheck "Block Pop Up Windows"
Make sure that it's set to Accept all cookies.
Go to Tools then Options then Privacy then Check "Accept cookies from sites"
Clear cookies & all Private Data before logging into the site

(DO Not clear cookies while you are logged on to the site),
Go to Tools > Options > Privacy > Select "Clear Now" under the Private Data category and when the menu comes up to select what you want to clear and make sure "Cookies" and "Cache" are selected.
Show your Cookies! For your extra comfort while doing the offers you can see the cookies as they load. Go to Tools > Options > Privacy > Click on "Show Cookies"

Completing the Offers;
Let the pages Load. Do not click on the next page or offers link until the page is completely loaded and you get a "Done" message.
DO NOT Copy or Paste! While doing the offers. If there is info that you need to save leave the window open and save it after you are finished doing the offer.
DO NOT HURRY! Traders say wait anything from 3 to 5 minutes on the confirmation page.
REMEMBER TO: Copy/Paste! any Terms or the Confirmation page you want to save.
save a screen shot of your confirmation page for the MCR Process if needed.

A Green Day In the Life of a Trader on FLR!

1. When I first get online, I open three tabs or windows to Free Lunch Room. I log in on the first window, then refresh the other two so that they are at the home page and show me logged in.

2. In the first window, I click "Private Messages" and check/answer my messages. I make sure that all payments are made, all trades are set up, and all questions are answered before I do anything else.

3. Once all messages are answered and taken care of, I click "List Subscriptions" in my Control Panel (the left-hand column of the page when you're in your inbox). I keep my subscriptions pulled up on this page so that I can refresh it every few minutes to check for messages AND bumps to my thread.

4. If you don't have any subscribed threads, there are at least two threads that I definitely recommend being subscribed to: your trade thread, the welcome thread titled "New Members Introduce Yourselves Here," and the thread titled "Sticky Thread Information and Announcement Update." I like to keep an eye on the Sticky Thread because they put the date that it was last updated right in the title! Have to keep up with that if you want to be ready to order your stickies on time!

5. To subscribe to any thread, simply go to the thread... then in the little area just above the first post, click "Thread Tools." Then click "Subscribe to This Thread." It will ask if you want to have email notifications. I suggest NO EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS, except for your own trade thread. If you have email notifications for other threads, your inbox will become extremely bombarded on a continual basis! Remember, you're going to have a page open to your subscribed threads all the time, and all you have to do is refresh it, so the email notifications are kind of pointless.

6. On the second tab/window, I go to the Welcome Thread ("New Members Introduce Yourselves Here").
WELCOME THREAD:

A. When I log in and go to the welcome thread, I always go to the very last page first (where the most recent posts are.

B. Then I look at other traders' posts to see who they've quoted. I select one that I know I've never quoted before and I click the little tiny blue box with the white arrow (>) in it. That automatically takes me to the original post so I can quote it.

C. When I'm at that original post, I click "Quote" in the bottom-right of the post, and it takes me to a new window where I can enter my message. This is where I place my pre-written welcome post just under the quote. **Make sure you only quote people from the CURRENT DAY.** If anyone posted over 24 hours ago, just don't quote them!!!

D. I submit the post and it takes me back to the last page... I always double-check my post to make sure the quote is in there... if for any reason you ever accidentally post something without a quote, immediately edit it by using the bottom-right "edit" button in your post. edit everything out and say "oops sorry" or something like that, (laugh). Then contact a mod and let them know what you did.. they will erase it or tell you not to worry about it.

E. At this point, I find the NEXT person I'm GOING to quote. I get it all set up by going thru all the motions above except I don't submit the post until I'm ready... this is because there are limited numbers of people to welcome, and you want to get on every page of the thread that you can! So I try to only post once per page in the welcome thread.

F. I have found that if you are FIRST on a page, your chances of being noticed and getting referrals is much better. I don't always make it, but I do at least half the time when I'm online, unless I'm too busy to keep up with it. NEVER POST MORE THAN ONCE PER PAGE.

G. How to be first: This is where the Live Feed comes in! You can see in real time when someone posts anywhere in the forum. In the live feed, when it shows a new post, it also shows how many pages are in that thread, and how many REPLIES there are. Most people have their forum settings set to show 10 posts per page, so you're watching for that last digit of the number of REPLIES shown on each post to determine when you want to post your next quote/reply!
What you're looking for is the number 9, because the number 9 means that it's the 10th post on that page, and the next post made will BE AT THE TOP! : ) Whenever you see that nine, you immediately pull up your welcome thread page and click 'Submit' and you're almost guaranteed to be first.

H. Here's a link to a picture of the live feed with one of the welcome-thread posts circled... this was has "5" as its last digit, so it's the 6th post on that page:

I. I check my post to make sure the quote's in there and that I posted what I meant to (lol) and then I pull up another one to quote and get it all nice and ready... and start keeping an eye on the live feed again in between other tasks!

J. I keep a list of the people I've welcomed, so that if I am not sure if I've already welcomed someone, I can just check the list. If you welcome someone twice, you can get temporarily banned, and we don't need that !

A. I normally start off in the break room posting a message in any section I like to normally post a positive note to start my day.

B. You can tell which threads you've posted in by looking at the little envelope to the far-left of each thread listed. If you've posted in a thread before, there's a little white arrow on the envelope. It's VERY IMPORTANT to refresh any page you post each time before you click on a new thread, because you want to be sure not to double-post in any threads. That will get you a 24 hour ban from FLR!

C. Once I'm caught up with my posting in the breakroom, I go back to the FLR Home page, and from there I access the Live Feed. From the Live Feed, I can see posts to all three things that are most important to me: Welcome Thread, and my trade thread!

D. VERY IMPORTANT: In the Live Feed, the arrows don't show up on the envelopes! So ONLY click on threads in Live Feed that have a BLUE ENVELOPE, which ensures you that they are brand new! Any threads with orange envelopes, just leave them alone, because you'll know they are older and you probably already posted in them! If you don't follow these instructions carefully, you can easily double-post and be banned for 24 hours!

TO HELP WITH YOUR POSTING NEEDS!!!

A. At this point you should already have a pre-written response for a few different things... the ones I use the most are:
1. Welcome
2. breakroom reply
3. Instructions for going green
4. Congratulatory message with instructions on how to finish up a trade in Trade Manager
5. Instructions on how to read feedback
6. My list of referral links

B. There is a program for copying/pasting all these things as you need them! I used to just copy them from a Word Document where I have them saved... but this program is a clipboard that allows you to save all of your most-used pre-written stuff to it.. and it's all listed on the program; all you have to do is click which one you want, then paste. No clicking and dragging!!! and the little clipboard stays on top of everything... so it's always right at your fingertips!
Best of all, it's FREE, lol!!!! Totally free! Here's the link to download it from Download.com:

Or you can use a manual filing system that will keep you organized

C. It's super easy to use...
1. First, have the word document open that has all of your pre-written stuff in it.
2. Once you've downloaded, installed, and opened your new clipboard, Check the boxes that say "Catch Copies" and "Float."
3. Copy the first pre-written response you want on the clipboard. Once you've highlighted and copied it on the word document, you don't need to do anything else! Look at your new clipboard -- the response is there!
4. Copy the next one you want on the clipboard... same thing-- just highlight and copy. No pasting necessary. Follow this process for each separate response you want on the clipboard.
5. Once you're done copying all the pre-written responses you want onto the clipboard, UNCHECK "Catch Copies." Otherwise, anything else you copy all day long will go in the list on the clipboard.
6. When you're ready to use one of the pre-written responses that you've saved to your clipboard, you simply click the one you want in the blue window on the right. Then right-click where you want to paste it and click "paste" like you normally would! That's it! I love not having to find and highlight things over and over again!

STEPS TO KEEP ORGANIZED WITH YOUR PAYMENTS, TRADE MANAGER, AND FEEDBACK:

A. If I am realllly busy, I don't even go looking for who needs to
be paid. It is their responsibility to notify us when they go green,
and don't worry -- they WILL! They will want their money, and
you don't have to worry one second that they don't! When I'm not busy and I see that someone is green and hasn't notified me, I do send them a quick note to let them know and to ask them for their paypal address if I've never paid them before.

B. When they do notify me, it's usually by PM. If I don't yet
have their paypal address, I write them back immediately and ask them
to send me their paypal address. If I'm busy, I don't even open the
PM until I am ready to pay them. That way the PM is still showing
unread and that's what flags me that they need to be paid. If I don't
know what the message is, and I open it but I'm not ready to pay them
just yet, I mark it unread again so that I know I need to go back to
it when I'm ready to make payments. Always try to pay right away or as soon as possible!

C. If they notify me by IM, I just drop what I'm doing and take
care of the payment right away so that I don't forget.

D. This is the order I do things in when I make a payment to make sure
that nothing is forgotten or left out:

1. I always have the following things open on my computer: My 3 FLR windows,
PayPal, a window for checking my freebie sites, my clipboard program, and my
list of paypal addresses. Always keep a list of paypal addresses of every single person you ever pay. This will save you soooo much time and confusion, because most people you work with will do more than one of your sites, and you'll be paying them several times. It's a hassle to have to ask for their paypal address over and over again.

2. Let's say I get a PM from someone telling me they're green:

a. If they've given me their paypal address, I immediately
copy/paste it into my list of paypal addresses. If they're already in
my list, I copy the address from the list so it's ready. I always
leave the PM open while I'm paying them.

b. Then I go to the freebie site to verify that they are really green.

c. I sign into paypal and paste their paypal address in there to
make the payment. On the second step of the payment, I ALWAYS ALWAYS
ALWAYS type into the notes the following:
*the amount I'm paying them
*the site I'm paying them for
*their FLR username

This way you have all this info in the details of the transaction, and you can
access it whenever you need to clarify anything! So many times their
paypal addresses have nothing to do with their FLR usernames, and you
want to be sure to be able to match up that payment to their name
later in case there's any question of whether they've been paid!

d. As soon as I've made the payment, I go directly back to the FLR
page and hit "reply" on that PM they sent me.... then I paste the
instructions for finishing up in Trade Manager into my reply and send
it.

e. From there, I immediately go to Trade Manager to mark the trade
"received" so that they can follow the instructions I just sent them
without getting stuck on the feedback.

f. I don't do ANYTHING ELSE or worry about ANY FEEDBACK until I get
an iTrader Rating Notification. When I get an iTrader Rating
Notification, I open it, mark it confirmed, then click the iTrader
number under the person's picture. That takes me to their feedback
page. Then I click "Left for Others." Then I click "secretgeld"
This takes me to MY feedback page. Then it should show me that
person at the top of my list of feedback, and the little symbol of the
notepad should be bright eyllow next to their feedback, b/c it's
awaiting MY feedback. So I click that little yellow notepad, and it
takes me to the place where I can leave feedback.

3. That's it --- as long as you put all the info in PayPal notes for
each payment, you do not need to do anything else.. that info is going
to be there if you need it. I have never ever used any spreadsheets
and only once tried writing things down manually, and that was a
disaster. If you're busy, your best bet is just to stay organized with all of these tips, and you can't go wrong! Of course you're going to make little mistakes here and there, but you can easily find them and correct them if you use these processes!
