I love the way the first post goes through a series of checks. I was one of the unlucky ones at the start. I even PM'd one of my traders and said "Aren't we supposed to be putting a thread in the Trade Set-Up Forum?" and he wrote back saying "No we do that at the end." Since I was such a newb, I trusted him. Guess what happened to me? (It wasn't pretty.) There's a lot to understand. I like the advice about people who try to avoid posts and PMs and go with email. There are a lot of layers of checks in that superb advice. Thanks for putting it out there for the newbs.

Earle has offered some extremely helpful advice to the initial post. Checking the posts of the person you're considering trading with is such a great idea.

I didn't see it mentioned here, but Earle also suggested PM'ing other people who have traded with this person asking them for their opinions. This is another great way to find out if the person is trustworthy, reliable, and experienced.

You can find out who they've traded with in their posts (Clicking on their Profile button and then clicking Find all posts by...) You'll see which forum the post was written in. Remember, if you're looking for other people they've traded with you're going to be looking for anything posted in the Trade Setup/Feedback Forum.

I am new. I just signed up today and I have read so muc. Actually I have been reading for the last couple of hours. Thank you all for the excellent info. I will continue to read and introduce myself before I do anything.

I do have a question though, I have completed 2 trades, and haven't got credit for either of them, the second one is understandable, as it just cleared today. But the first one I did last Thursdayish. How long does it usually take to have your TR updated?

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. TR's are updated by MzTammy...a living, breathing human being...lol. It can take a day or more for her to get to it. If you still don't see it listed in another few days you can always PM her.

Also...make sure the trades are complete first. If they are not...and are not marked as **DONE** she will not count them.

why doesn't my tr reflect the trades completed???

I have done a lot more than 2 trades and it reflects only 2?

MzTammy does the updating manually and she's a bit behind right now. Hopefully a new system is going to be put into place soon.
