Hey everyone,

I decided that a guide to show people how to post a proof picture of their prize from PayPal might be very valuable. Why? Because everyone wants to show off what they got for free! :P Anyhow, here we go:

1. Open up your Internet browser and go to PayPal.

2. Login and click the "Details" link for your payment which is directly horizontal left from the amount.

3. Now, hit the "PRT SC" button your keyboard:



Click the picture to locate that button on your keyboard.

4. Now, minimize your browser and go to your "Start" button on the bottom left corner of your operating system. Then go to "All Programs" then go to "Accessories" then go to "Microsoft Paint". If it's not there, then go to "Start", and then click "Search" and search the term "MSPAINT".

5. Now once you are in Microsoft Paint, right click your mouse and hit paste. Now you should see the screenshot you took! Now, take the brush tool on the left toolbar and blur out information you want to keep confidential. I would suggest blurring out the PayPal transaction ID as well as your email or last name if it displays.

6. Now, save this to your desktop. By going up to "File" and clicking "Save".

7. Now, open your Internet browser back up and go to a hosting website. My favorite is ImageShack® - Image Hosting . Once you go there, click Browse and then go to "Desktop" and click on the screenshot you just saved. Now click
"Upload".

8. Now, you should see a few links after a couple of minutes. Which one do you use? Well, If you want to display it as a thumbnail picture like the one above then just copy the link next to "Thumbnail for forums (1)". Now that you have that code, all you have to do is paste that on the forums. If you want to have the whole image just slapped directly into the forum without any shrinking, grab the last link: "Direct link" and just use these codes:

[img]INSERTCODEHERE[/img]

If you want to show your friends via instant messenger or email, just paste the direct link and they can click on it and it will be displayed.

If you can afford, faststone capture makes this much easier than microsoft paint.

Perhaps when you are in pain you need to go to "edit" and then look for an option to paste as new image or something like that. I'm not all that familiar with MS paint but that might help you out.

Or, you might have one of the PrtSc buttons that also performs another function so perhaps you need to hold shift when you press it in order for it to make the screen capture.

I was just coming back here to see if anyone was able to help me figure this out. Thanks for the advice. Going to try this and see if it works. I knew I was following the directions but nothing was working. Then I tried to download some software to use. That did not seem to work. Hope this does the trick. Thanks again..

Which part are you having trouble with? I usually just hit the print screen key and then paste the pic into a picture program where I can then save it to the computer.. and then upload that file to imageshack.us for posting on the forum!

I think the confusing part is that you hit the Prt scr key and nothing happens! LOL Well at least that is what we 'think'. But whatever you screen capture is actually copied and then I just open paint and I go to edit at the top and paste and there it is! Not hard at all! Takes just a few min.!

ok i got it now i wasn't going to the edit then paste sorry i get a brain cramp too sometimes lol thanks though for making sure i get it

Good info here. Still trying myself to figure out how to make it work on my laptop. The keys do not respond and copy the page. I am going to keep on trying until I figure it out. So many people have great ideas posted through out this thread. Thanks for all the help and ideas.
