I'm not really sure about that. Perhaps different forums have slightly behaviors. I'm not sure that differences in cutting and pasting would be BB code related though. If you could give a link that illustrated the difference you were talking about I may be able to find out, but I'm pretty clueless at the moment.

gotta luv the oolbars

As we see more and more formats out there, I just hope they keep up the toolbars, because if I have to remember all those codes, it wouldnt happen!

Welcome! If you have any questions, a good place to post is lunch packing assistance, or if you have thread formatting questions feel free to post them in this thread

yes. i too feel it's very little to do with BB code as such.
actually how to copy/paste a part of the post in flr? is my qtn.
when we select/highlight a few words and right click, it shows paste but not cut nor copy!
and there are no buttons at the top too.

If you highlight the text, then right click while the text is highlighted, you should have copy as one of the options. I would think something may be wrong with your system if not, though that's odd because someone else contacted me today about not being able to copy and paste in a thread.

You may also try the keyboard shortcuts for copy and paste... ctrl-c for copy and ctrl-v for paste (hold down 'ctrl' and press 'c' or 'v' respectively). Just highlight the text, then press ctrl-c, then position the cursor where you want it to past and do ctrl-v.

Another way of copy and paste is to use the 'Edit' menu at the top of your browser. Highlight, then click 'Edit' and you should have copy or cut there.

If that doesn't work I would try restarting your browser or re-booting your machine. Keep me posted if it doesn't work because I find it very odd.

Many days back, i tried restart browser and/or reboot m/c. all along i was thinking that it's flr specific, as it's not happening elsewhere.

now onto ctrl-C/ V

yes. worked. but definitely not so easy as Rt clk.

onto browser edit

Thanks for your work arounds.
Still, it's surprising to lose Rt Clk functionality. are u also on Windows only?

ctrl-c for copy and ctrl-v --- this is a CUT and paste, which removes it from original - not from Rt Clk but Drag and Dropped.

so, it's (the Rt clk) working for some (or most) but not for some., like me and ur other friend.
it's a built in feature of OS itself. right? or the browser? or the mouse?

Yes I'm using windows (well, for browsing and interacting on FLR anyway).

I believe it works like this: the clipboard and copy/paste is a built in feature of the OS, but the interface to access it is handled by the application such as your browser. I've only had one report of copy/paste not working correct besides yours... it pretty much works for everyone, so it has to be a problem on your machine.
