I understand where you are coming from, its hard to know who to trust.

What would you say the average time that it takes for a trader to get all the referals that he needs? lets say you have a trader with a good rating and a good offer.

Yes, i'm a bit confused. What if it takes a trader 4 weeks or more to gather up all his green referals... Those of us who are honest, and doing things correctly end up having to wait weeks for payment, not to mention at times shelling out our own money on completing offers that we may not even get paid for if some dishonest people don't hold up their end of the bargain and stay green. It doesn't really seem a great setup from either direction.

It really depends on how much time you spend looking. I post on 3 sites when looking for referrals. And here's the catch 22. You can get them faster when you pay on green rather than approval. But I think patience goes a looooonnnnnggggg way in this game. :D

Okay everyone. Whoever said patience goes a long ways, was right on the money. You can expect a site to take at least 1 week to clear and 2 weeks is very common. Remember we all start by selling our greens; we all have to go through the waiting period. DO NOT confuse approval with the payout period. Just because you get approved, does not mean we get paid. We may not get paid until the 15th of next month. I have one site that I don't get paid until the 15th of March and I cleared it and was approved on the 12th of February. I paid all my people the minute they passed approval even though I don’t get paid for another month. I am sure you understand why you are not getting paid until approval. Already, I have had 2 people go red, because they were using AOL (I told them not to) and I could not get my money back from them. You must also remember that selling your greens is not what you will be doing for long. You will, pretty quickly, jump to this side of the board - 4 trades is recommended just so that you get the experience to jump the fence, and when you are on this side, trust me when I say that you too will not want to pay on green. Traders that have been around awhile and have some cash stockpiled can do the pay on green thing as they can afford to take the hit. But, most cannot - myself included.

Thanks for posting this. I try to explain that clearly to my newbies that it's a waiting game, but if they play it right and fair they will get paid and we'll all be happy

what they say is very true, i try to keep my paypal built up but then i still like to pay on approvel, not because of any thing but that i have had people red and then your oout money on them and out more on another to green. all you being refs for people it don't last forever. then you will see. that it is hard for us to say ok i will pay on green, no one wonts to not get payed.
