Question Any demo event specialist?

I work for Crossmark and boy do I get pretty bored while at work especially when I just stand behind the table like a manniquin or when I'm just passing out sunflower seeds. Most of the time I'm just daydreaming, hyming songs in my head, and looking and laughing at people in the grocery store.

If you do demos too or just have a boring job, what do you do to keep busy and be interested instead of begging at the clock "Please turn 5 o'clock"?

Re: Any demo event specialist?

too pass the time i have counted things many a times... like in the grocery store i could sit there and count the grapes as i sat at the deli counter...

sleeping to pass the time is the best allthough i dont reccomend that at work

sex to pass the time runs a close 2nd to sleep allthough unless you are in the adult entertainment industry or a prostitute then i would not reccomend that either at work!!

reading is a good one... depending on what kind of job you have you can read and that is always fun

eating is tasty but if you start boredom eating then youll just end up fat!!!

listening to music is good but my only problem with that is i tend to either sing along or pretend Im the drummer and slap my hands to the beat on whatever is handy... and i cant sing... so either way it tends to annoy people and prolly not good for me to do at work.... then again i work in concerts part of the time so durring that time i guess it would be perfectly acceptable

excerise is prolly the best way to pass the time... tires ya out... keeps ya fit and healthy... and before you know it the whole thing comes naturrally and becomes a habbit... then it pumps ya up and makes ya feel ready for anything... good adrenaline in that...though you may get sweaty!

hmmm... well like i said i mostly count things

Re: Any demo event specialist?

Ha! I left the "working" world and moved into direct sales (& mommyhood) full time...and I sure don't want to go back!

Crossmark...I've done a little work with them in the past, but not as a demonstrator. Look into their other opportunities.

While you're at work, though, you should do like I saw an old lady doing in Sam's...just repeat yourself over and over. Doesn't matter who's listening or who samples your product...long as people are laughing and you're entertaining yourself, you'll be fine.

Daydream OUT LOUD!
Hum OUT LOUD!

Maybe you should even invite an UNEMPLOYED friend there to keep you company sometimes. That'll make the day go by! lol
