Okay I got here a little late but I would have said go for it if you wanted to, even just as a one time... if you don't like it don't do it again! If you do, well you just found yourself a cheap 'do..... if you don't, maybe you could trade it for something.... put on CL for someone to cut your hair for something you could do for them.... maybe even something that is reoccuring like mowing a lawn or wait, you are where it is cold, shoveling a walk :O) Or something on the net. Just a thought. My mom got her hair done from a woman that works at JC Penny's but she came to our house and did it.... maybe you could get someone like that? Of course, be careful..... and the schools (beautician) are a good idea, I know in NY you could get a cut for like $3 and a perm for like $15.
