Re: Want to get healthy?
Actually, Mona-Vie is the best way to get what you need fruit wize ect. Everything here in the USA fruit, vegetables ect is all processed so basically, your putting chemicals into your body which isn't good for you......Talk to a preventative Doctor. Go take a look at the proven research on Mona-Vie
! Remember, you can only get so much out of a vitamin capsule......

Re: Want to get healthy?
Being and staying healthy is important to many, most certainly...lol...and of course, there are those who don't care but as age has slowly crept up on me...lol...well:)
Just for giggles, I went and checked out monavie to find out what it is it is trying to portray...and the two main ingredients appear to be phytonutrients and antioxidants. Now, if we drill down into those two things we find...( I admit, I learned a bit here!) Phytonutrients = Phyto- means "plant", and phytonutrients, also called phytochemicals, come from plants. Phytonutrients are a relatively recent discovery in the nutrition world, and they are turning out to be quite important. For a long time, we've known that people who eat a lot of vegetables and fruits seem to be healthier in many ways. It was assumed that this is because vegetables and fruits are rich in vitamins and minerals, and this is part of the story. But it turns out that there are hundreds, and perhaps even thousands of other substances that are beneficial to humans that are produced by plants. In plants, they seem to help form a protective shield against the environment, including preventing diseases. They may do similar things for us. They can repair damage to cells, help build our immune systems, and act as antioxidants. Antioxidants = All of the work our cells do to keep our bodies going takes place in chemical reactions. Some of the reactions which occur with oxygen create unstable byproducts called "free radicals". In excess, these molecules can interact with other molecules in the cell membrane and other parts of the cell, such as the DNA, and cause damage. Antioxidants can counteract these free radicals and protect the cells from damage. Eating foods containing high amounts of antioxidants can help prevent diseases such as cancer (which happens partly from damaged cell DNA) and heart disease (which happens partly because of cholesterol becoming oxidized and sticking to arteries). Besides phytonutrients, some examples of antioxidants are vitamins C and E, and the mineral selenium. Can we get our phytonutrients from pills (food supplements)? Because there are so many of these chemicals, and they may work in concert with each other, it doesn't seem to be working out well to give people large doses of one or a few antioxidants in pill form. Studies of single antioxidants sometimes even have negative results. It could be that too much of one antioxidant even has pro-oxidant effects of its own. (When you read negative things about phytonutrients or antioxidants, they are sure to be talking about the pills, not the naturally-occurring ones in food.) Eating a variety of foods high in phytonutrients seems to be the best and only sure way to get their protective benefits. Which foods are high in phytonutrients and antioxidants? Some of the foods highest in antioxidants are: tea, berries, plums (and prunes), oranges, purple grapes (and raisins), cherries, kiwi fruit, pink grapefruit, dark green leafies like spinach and kale, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, beets, tomatoes, red pepper, and dark chocolate (not milk chocolate). I'm sharing all this good stuff for only one reason...in order for this kinda stuff to actually WORK and do all the good stuff it's supposed to, it must be a blend of ALL, not just fruits and berries:) Several articles out there even say as does this, if you do not obtain the right "blend", it can be counterproductive...just seems to me safer and cheaper to go glad's route and stick with grabbing that 6 or more servings a day of the real deal:) But...as always, to each their own...and by golly, if it makes YOU feel good then that's what truly matters:)

Re: Want to get healthy?
That is right to each their own :). I must say though, In recent years, a number of companies have introduced liquid vitamin supplements, some of them claiming that these products far outperform the traditional vitamin pill.
The main advantage of a liquid supplement is the speed and ease of absorption by the body. Since there is no need to break down a solid, the vitamins are absorbed immediately. Doctors also claim that the absorption rate is much higher, making the supplements more effective. There are also those who hate swallowing big vitamin pills or simply can't swallow them due to a medical condition. For instance, people who have had gastric bypass surgery find it hard to keep a pill down. Throat surgery can also make swallowing solids painful. For people like this, liquid vitamins are the only viable option. While we live in a world where immediate effects are usually considered a good thing, their relevance for vitamins is questionable. After all, our bodies don't suddenly have vitamin emergencies. If one vitamin supplement is absorbed into our systems an hour sooner than another, it's unlikely to have any noticeable effect on our overall health. When it comes to our health, nobody likes to guess what is best. But until enough time has passed to show for certain whether there is a difference between the effects of liquid and tablet vitamins, you'll simply have to go with the one that makes the most sense for you. As long as you are focused on a healthy lifestyle and good nutrition, the format of your vitamin supplement shouldn't be a critical decision. I go with Mona-Vie its what has worked with me and many others but that is my opinion but, at the same time others will fight me on it. The studies show what Mona-Vie has done to the human body in many different ways. Studies don't lie! Vitamins taken in pill form offer an absorption rate of up to 30 percent, but many liquid vitamins are boasting as many as a 90 percent absorption rate. Do the homework people . The use of liquid vitamins instead of vitamins in pill form increases the number of available entry ways into the body, allowing for an increase in absorption rate. Liquid vitamins are already in their most simple form when they are taken, and absorption is already occurring in the mucous membrane of the mouth as the liquid vitamins are consumed. The tissue within your esophagus is also capable of absorbing the liquid vitamins, which means that the vitamins are already being absorbed before they reach the small intestine. Oh almost forgot the Acai berry also has the highest Orac Value of any fruit or vegetable known to man......

Re: Want to get healthy?
Yes it is, your correct. Well, guess what they spray on those hand picked fruits and vegetables at the grocery store, pesticides to keep bugs off along with that great smog and great dirt that is turned over and over which looses its nutrients oh yeah and the nice fumes that come along with those great tractors. Oh yeah and, that great chemical soaks into the fruit. You think that is good for you? No
. Look at all the preserves that are in the stuff at the store. To have any kind of shelf life you have to have some kind of preserve in it to maintain its shelf life and if stores didn't do this they would lose a ton of money because they would be taking stuff off the shelves left and right because it has gone bad. If you read as soon as things are picked if they aren't froze they loose many of the nutrients and if you look on the dates on packages, fruits for example, look at the stickers they tell you when it was picked and some are days and even weeks later they are put on the shelf. You can say nutrients gone......and actually yeah I cay say Mona-Vie does not have preservatives in it. Why do you think it is froze right away and put in a glass bottle not plastic? Helps maintain the nutrients and that is why after you open a bottle of Mona-Vie if not drank within 60 days it goes bad because again, it has nothing to preserve it like many other products. You can see how its done if you do the homework .

Re: Want to get healthy?
Wow good argument going on in here. lol Great points made by CNS8606. That is very true. I do know that Monavie juice is completely natural for you, no chemicals in it. Yes vitamins may be easier for some but do not do nearly as much as what the Monavie juice will do for you.
I dont know if you all see this video but here is a great look at what this Monavie product can do for you. Take a look. There is alot more out there, mainly positive views about it. YouTube - FOX News Medical Report - Effects of MonaVie

Re: Want to get healthy?
Well I guess the arguments had stopped now. Lets keep chatter going about Monavie. And yes CNS8606, I wanted to thank you again for some great arguments indeed. The big thing with Monavie or any other is its completely natural and there are no chemicals processed in it. Any fruit you buy in the store, yes does have chemicals in it. But this Monavie is still very new to me and besides that, I dont know a whole on it but am learning about it.
I still do currently take the Monavie and have even tried their Monavie energy drink, yes they are both good indeed, the best thing for you. Any others who currently take Monavie, may of tried it before or been really curious about the product? Lets hear from you. This is an open discussion all about Monavie.
