Hi all—

Firstly, a public apology to the handful of individuals who posted concerns about V-Bux regarding what appeared to be dropped support tickets and unprocessed payments. As a company that strives to “exceed expectations everyday” (our mantra since day one), it is my intention to present the circumstances that surrounded the issue and offer a generous make-good solution that will live up to our motto.

As some know, we endured a malicious attack to core components of our platform roughly two weeks ago (revealed in other forums, some emails and support tickets) No data was compromised, but, on the surface, it appeared as if a good deal was deleted. Our systems admin team worked around the clock with an outsourced attack mitigation / data restoration firm to bring things back to working order. After roughly 72 hours of nonstop, diligent work, we were able to retrieve roughly 90% of the missing database entries, a tremendous feat given the circumstances. The remaining missing data, however, we came to learn, was in the form of order processing notes for various accounts that our automatically system had selected for tier-2 audits (a more rigorous, manual audit performed on the validity of referrals by multiple staff members). All tier-2 audits are, administratively, transferred to another database – the one whose data we could not immediately recover. As such, users with orders that fell under category experienced delays until data was fully restored yesterday.

Delayed Disclosure – As when the attack happened two weeks ago, we could not come directly out to our users with specifics as to limit the attackers understanding of how we were addressing the issue, our anticipated remediation schedule, and which portions of their attack were most/least effective. Due to this, any support tickets surrounding the matter were escalated to our admin team, which, until this time, did not provide a statement due to the security implications. Please note though – any inquiries into this matter did not go “unresponded to” -- our non-admin support staff communicated with users throughout, but were instructed not to provide specifics on the attack until we had fully addressed it.

Moving forward – Of the roughly 10% of our active userbase that was affected, in an effort to live up to our mantra, we want to make up for the inconveniences by offering a no-questions-asked $20 Paypal bonus payment (one per person; person must have placed an order that was not processed in 72 hours between Oct 1 - current). Simply email support@v-bux.com the following info: Your full name, the name of the website your affected account is on (logitech.v-bux.com, apple.v-bux.com, etc), the date your order was submitted, the date you were paid, the prize you selected, and your Paypal address. Please allow for about a week for the bonus to be processed as we need to backwards navigate through the system to verify it.

We’re happy to say that today marks our full recovery from the attack – all data has been restored and the newest, most preventative security platforms have been installed. All orders to be processed within 24 hours as before

I think that this is a great announcement and very responsible, as well as caring, of you V-Bux to let everyone know what was going on and why the hold up. I wasn't one of the clients waiting on an order/support ticket, but someone who's recently come back to trading, and to see question marks from other supporters about why their support tickets weren't being answered and their orders weren't being filled, I was myself concerned and disappointed to see that, as I have always been a huge fan of the V-Bux network and the professionalism that always went into everything you guys did. (Lol! I sound like an advertisment.)

Anyway, I'm very very glad to see you guys back and hope it remains that way.
