How To Better Your Chances of Getting Credit

As we grow small problems are enlarged. So I decided to talk to my affiliates and see if there was something I could do to better my credit process. They explained that in most cases (9 out of 10) it is do to user error. So newbies please read and vets please brush up because I believe this will help greatly. This is advice straight from the affiliates (companies that provide the offers), I felt they would be a great source. Also to better understand how the process works please click on my discussion topic: http://www.freelunchroom.com/board/m...ml#post1378834

Internet Explorer:

To ensure you receive credit, please follow the instructions below and remember you must complete step 3 before completing each offer
1. Disable all pop-up blockers
Internet Explorer
1. On the top of the browser, click on "Tools" and then "Internet Options."
2. A new window should pop up. Click the "Privacy" tab and uncheck the "Block pop-ups box (if it is checked), and then click "OK."

2. Accept all cookies
Internet Explorer
1. On the top of the browser, click on "Tools" and then "Internet Options."
2. A new window should pop up. Click the "Privacy Tab" and there should be a bar under "Settings." Lower the bar to "Accept all cookies."

3. Clear your cookies and cache before completing EACH offer but NEVER EVER do this while logged into a free site. Always log out of the site, clear your cookies then log back into the site, click the offer and continue to completing it.

Internet Explorer
1. On the top of the browser, click on "Tools" and then "Internet Options."
2. A new window should pop up. Under the "General" tab, press "Delete Files". A new mini-window should pop up and you should check the "Delete all offline content" and then press "Ok."
3. Under the same "General" tab, press "Delete cookies" and then "Ok."

4. Complete the offer until you reach the confirmation/completion page (unless stated otherwise in the requirements), and when you are on the confirmation/completion page, STAY on the confirmation/completion page for at least 3 minutes before closing the page.

5. Other Recommended Steps
(a). Internet Explorer is the recommended browser to complete offers as it is more reliable in terms of tracking. Nevertheless, do not use any browser other than IE or Firefox.

(b). Turn off any firewalls, anti-virus, or spyware programs before completing an offer. There are instances in which these programs interfere with the tracking.

2. Accept all cookies

1. On the top of the browser, click on "Tools" and then "Options."
2. A new window should pop up. Click the "Privacy" and then the "Cookies" mini-tab. Make sure the "Allow site to set cookies" box is checked and the two boxes below are unchecked. Also make sure the setting "Keep cookies" is set to "until they expire."

3. Clear your cookies and cache before completing EACH offer but NEVER EVER do this while logged into a free site. Always log out of the site, clear your cookies then log back into the site, click the offer and continue to completing it.

This is pretty much exactly what I tell people too, with one exception and a few additions.

The exception is that I recommend firefox over IE. I have seen numerous posts on this forum where people had crediting problems with IE, then never had a single problem after switching to firefox. Personally I have received credit for every offer I have ever done (over 30 of them) using firefox.

The additions I have are:

Allow each page in the entire process to load completely before clicking on anything or proceeding. This goes from the moment you first log into the freebie site.

Avoid navigating away from the pages in the offer completion process at any time, and always avoid having to use the 'back' button. This goes for viewing the TOS. Always open the TOS in a new window or tab, then close it when you are done with it. Sometimes it will open in a pop-up window via a script, and that is ok too. If you have to use the 'back' button after viewing the terms of service, log out, clear cookies, log back in again, then start the offer over from scratch, this time without using the back button for any reason.

If you get any error in the process of completing an offer, log out, clear cookies, log back in again and start over. Do this between each offer, even if you just open it and look it over.

Just my .02 on the matter, hope it helps!

I haven't. I looked around, and the only reason I wasn't very interested was because of the offer weights. This is the main factor I use to compare sites and make a decision about whether to use a site or not. They are just a bit low on your site. For instance:

credit check total:

moneybonanzas: 1/4 credit
freeforallmankind: 1/2 credit
giftmonster: 1/2 credit

Blockbuster online:

moneybonanzas: 1/2 credit
freeforallmankind 1 full credit
giftmonster: 2/3 credit

Debt Snap:

moneybonanzas: 1/3 credit
freeforallmankind: 1/2 credit

Efax:

moneybonanzas: 1/4 credit
giftmonster: 1/2 credit

For a newbie site, I am looking for a $40/ref site to have most or all offers at 1/2 credit or better. If you could up the offer weights to this level, I would be very interested in your site! It's a great looking site, and I like everything else about it. I am curious why some sites manage to have higher offer weights than others for the same payout. Presently I send all my new referrals to freeforallmankind and giftmonster unless they insist otherwise for some reason, then I send them to a site much like yours.

I am SO glad you posted this!!!!
Gamegreen, That is funny! I have better luck with people crediting on IE. Could it have something to do with your provider or something on your computer? I am VERY computer stupid!!!! I am wondering why the difference.

It's very controversial it seems. I suspect it has far more to do with the other factors that browser, but I did see a thread recently where numerous people posted who had tried both browers, and those who had said they had better luck with firefox.

GREEN on 11 sites and over 50 offers

Before I embarked on my journey into Paying for Referrals I have gone GREEN on 11 sites and over 50 offers ALL on IE and on ahem... dial-up connection back in late Dec07/ early Jan08, I've been on high speed connection since ;)

Last month one of my newbies being so eager to get started forgot to clear her cookies and did cash.moneybonanzas and she went GREEEN ;) and then she continued on to do the next site gifts.moneybonanzas still did not clear her cookies and got credited for the first offer!! by that time I have found out and kept reminding her to be sure to clear her cookies ;)

I have another newbie who did not have a computer at home and went to the library to do her first offer and it got credited right away!!! LOL LOL

How weird! I must have missed that thread. I have had people take firefox off because of problems and then they would green right away. I guess it just depends. LOL Thank you!!
