Question about staying logged in - FreeLunchRoom - The #1 Freebie Trading Forum on the Internet!

Hello everyone! I have a question and hope someone can help me. There are so many times that I am editing my thread, posting to threads, or just anytime that I am writing a long response....when I go to submit then I am taken to the login page to relogin. Also, a lot of times after I first login, once I change pages for the first time, then I have to relogin then too. Why is this happening and is it fixable? Thanks to everyone in advance!

That's odd. I have never had an issue like that. Most of the time I don't even have to log in at all unless I have cleared my cookies. Maybe it's a privacy setting in your system tools? But I couldn't say for sure.

I'm sure one of the guys will ring in with the absolutel answer soon. They always do. LOL

I'm not sure why this happens but I and others have noticed that it can depend on where you log in at. If you just use the little log in box on the main page it logs you out at some point, but if you try to access your PM box or another members only area of the forum such as LTCO, then you will be brought to a larger log in form. This form will usually keep you logged in much longer or indefinitely provided you check the 'remember me' box.

I have the same problem. It doesn't always happen, but it does happen. I figured it was my computer now I know others are having the same problem. Would really like to know why this happens as well. Thanks for asking. I hope someone knows.

Lol, they guys usually do know exactly what the problem is dont they. I thought maybe it might be a setting or something like that. Thanks alot!

I'm one of the lucky ones who has never had to login unless I've logged out. In fact, I think it's been several weeks since the last time I actually logged into FLR..LOL

I have had the same problem when logging in using the small box. I am glad you asked,

Wow that's strange. Have you clicked the "remember me" box? I think there should be one on the log in page. Also, maybe contact Admin or Glad and let them know what's going on, maybe they have some insight!

ok this use to happen to me when i was beginning here and then my friend jade laughed at me when she came over and saw the problem...lmao!!! FLR will time you out if you havent done anything within a certain time frame...now if you log in and click the little box that says remember me and then time out when you click something it remembers you and you can keep going about what you were doing just fine and you never even notice that you were timed out...but if you dont click that little box you will have to re-log in everytime!!
