Saw this on page one of the tutorials. I'm guessing it was a mistake:

Most people start off doing a couple of green for green trades. This is where do offers on someones site in exchange for them doing an offer on your own. This way you both make the same amount of money, and it only costs you the offers you completed!

Don't worry too much about the tutorials right now. They still need refining so give those a day or so to be cleaned up.
