Hi Bryant and Welcome to FLR! So happy you joined our forum family. You will love it here. What better place to have fun, meet people, and make extra cash. Look around. Do a lot of reading especially the FLR rules and the FLR tutorials. Then when you are ready, find a mentor you would feel comfortable working with. There are so many wonderful ones to choose from. When you do please send them a PM(private message) or reply to their thread because rules are you have to make first contact. Now you are ready to start. I wish you great success.

You are no doubt going to be overwhelmed at first,
but keep in mind we all started in the same way.
It won’t be long and you will be in the swing of things, I promise.
I encourage you to read all the rules and find a good mentor
who can show you the ropes.

When your ready go to paying for referrals and find a trader you want to work with then contact them via PM (private message) or a reply in their thread. Then when you are ready to get started find a trader that you think that you will be comfortable working with to show you the ropes so to speak, to get you started in the right direction to success.
You will want the trader that you choose to have a 100% trader rating, you will also want to make sure that they will be there for you to work with you when you need them to be. After you’ve convinced yourself, if you want to just dive right in, you can contact someone who’s making money to ask them how, or you can read the advertisements for people looking to trade with you here:

Advertisements

That’s not necessarily the way to go, though. Being able to write a convincing advertisement doesn’t make you a good teacher/mentor. If you do a bit of enjoyable research, you can do better. I’d recommend you start by learning the rules here:

It’s better to start this way, because no-one gets paid to answer questions, so the people that do aren’t writing advertisements, they’re genuinely interested in helping. Read carefully and critically–people say a lot about themselves when they post. Find someone who seems to know what they’re talking about–or someone who you’ll be comfortable working with.

You can learn more about any trader by clicking on the “signature” at the bottom of his post. When you decide that you’ve found the right person to work with, send them a PM.
