It is great when people just get here, to feel welcomed. Those who understand this rule, and the difference between spam and what is not spam, should be setting examples for others, not trying to find a loop hole or trick the system. Play nice, or suffer the consequences. Sticky would be good, but some folks have to learn by example. My own opinion on this.

It is a welcoming thread....so WELCOME THEM and thats it. If they as a question, feel free to answer it in your post back to them

I take this to mean that in no way do we offer or suggest for personal contact, but we can suggest contacting a/any member. For example, it WOULD be ok to say "....you're welcome to let one of our great members know if you need help" but not ok to say, "...if you need help, I'm here"

It's the I and ME that we are trying to avoid in the Welcome thread if there is mention of contact at all..... correct, or am I wrong?

I would just leave it at welcome... most peoples signatures say it all anyway.

I think this should be stickied too cuz I didn't even see this until today...although I already knew we shouldn't do that.
