Not long ago, I got an official-looking email from "PayPal" telling me my account may have been compromised, and asking for info confirmation. I logged into my PayPal account, and there was no sign of any trouble. I also got a separate earlier email telling me my PayPal account had been suspended due to hacking, and to log in thru a link in the email. In both cases I copied the email and forwarded it to PayPal.
This stuff DOES go on. We should never let our guard down.
Periodic reminders like this are always appreciated.

I use to get emails from paypal and ebay all of the time saying that there was something wrong with my account, or that security had been breached and I needed to log in. I even got emails from ebay sellers and buyers claiming that I didn't send them a product that they bought or didn't pay them for a product that I bought. What they didn't know is that even though I have an ebay account, I don't use it to do anything. If I want to buy something I have my boyfriend do it with his account because he is a power seller.

When I contacted ebay and paypal about these emails this is what I was given:

If you get an email from Paypal, forward it to spoof@paypal.com
Their security team will check the email and respond back with whether or not it is an actual email from them.

For ebay it is spoof@ebay.com. Just forward to them and they will do the same thing.

Every time that I have sent them something it has been a phishing scam.
