Another great post! Now I know how to identify each. So far I've met about 2 types of 'scammers' already. Thanks!

I am new to all of this, but how long after you go green should the money to into your paypal account. I am working on 5 different sites for a person and have gone green on 4, but I am having trouble on the last site, which should be resolved soon.

well they should be paying you as you complete them unless you have a deal where you are not getting paid till they are all finished which is generally not a good idea imo

Wink

there should be like a preliminary screen test to see if the person is legit. like a background check only with their IP

Wow This scares a newbie

That is a lot to process. Quite simply, What it the safest way for a newbie to seek our offers from a legit trader. And how would a newbie make sure he or she doesn't fall into the scammer category?

You can check out a traders feedback rating by clicking on there "itrader" number under there avatar. The higher the "itrader" number and the positive feedback percentage the safer you are. Plus any time I work with a new member I give them names of traders that they can feel safe trading with it.

If you are worried about falling into a scammer role, all I have to say is follow the rules on the forum and the freesite's TOS (terms of service). As well as, treated other members the way you would like to be treated. Do that and you should not have any problems. You may want to read another post that I submitted. How to Stay Green
This post idenifies the means in which you can have your account placed on hold.

Great stuff Marble! Bang up thorogh job as always!

I would say the only thing i could see wrong is that you basically threw you, me and all of those who are willing to help the noobs under a bus a bit by saying that theyll claim to want to help new people. Now your aware that we do help the new folks and I dont want them getting the wrong impression that everyone who offers help is gonna scam them. I know first hand that you and others have helpped me out even when we werent doing a trade together and I have payed that forward.

Just a brief comment to an otherwise stellar post my friend!

assistance needed!

After reading the 'IDing the scam', I'm thinking I may need to do a theft post. I have been patiently waiting for cherryvanilla to pay me (she is claiming poverty because the site did not pay her yet) yet our agreement was on green, not approval. She has not been in the forum for 2 days...what do you recommend? Can I have a mod from the lunch theft forum contact her by email to get her to respond to my posting?
I'm determined to do well here...my first 3 deals were with scammers so far, so reading the IDing the scam was great. This is not including the few situations I'm trying to get settled by posting this! (ex, cherryvanilla and another user).
One other thing...what is the protocol in this forum on straight trades? I have a situation with what I believe is an honest trader that has not finished going 'green' on my site (has been about 2 weeks) and I completed a green for them successfully on their site. Should I be asking for payment now for the green they completed to 'close the situation? If not, how long does one normally wait for greens to show up?
Any advice will be surely appreciated! :)
