That's true.. just be sure to not mention credits or incentives when requesting one. It's better to simply say that you need a copy of their initial new member email for your personal records or bookkeeping. That usually does the trick and keeps the confusion on the phone to a minimum.

This a a well written thread. I am glad that I was able to read it. It has been very educating and is nice to be aware of this. I have had crediting problems on certain sites, and that is exactly what they told me. One site that I did, I put in a credit request, then waited a month, and still did not get credit. It was a free offer so I was not that upset about it, but it was still very frustrating.

I had an offer the didn't give a confirmation email, even after calling them. Don't get discouraged if this happens to you. Try and get your member number or something along that order and supply the site with proof of the charge on your CC and they should be able to at least send a request to the company for your credit.
