Lately I have been doing a lot of G4G. Most of the time it works out well. I know how to pick the people I trade with. These are all people that are active on the forum, have a good TR, etc. I do my part, green for them, and pretty fast too, out of respect, I make it a priority. Then it comes time for them to green for me and I fall off their radar. Nothing. I am waiting on 4 greens from various people. I never have trouble going green. Is it a coincidence that all of these people are having "trouble" or do they just not give a &*%$ ?

I know the feeling, same thing happens to me. I do my offers, green as fast as I can and then I have to wait on them to green for me :(

Well, as we all know, offers and crediting times are different. So, the first question I would ask is: Are these traders keeping you updated regularly? Then, I'd ask: Have they started at all? And: What's their status?

We all have to have patience in waiting on offers to credit. It becomes double patience when doing G4G's because now we are waiting for our offers to credit AND our trading partner's offers to credit.

If you don't know their status and/or you feel something is awry, then contact a Mod about the situation.

Hang in there! At least you know you used good guidelines when choosing who to work with. :)

As you bring up they may not....lol...care, am going to suggest they ain't keeping you updated and in that is the problem. I felt bad as did a g4g a while back, we both hit our sites fast and should have been no problem, however...I had to fill out an mcr and we both waited....lol....and waited...yet we did communicate so the other was not left out, wondering:) Things happen, we all encounter a hiccup from time to time and there are times mcrs will seem to take forever...yet if everyone KNOWS what's going on, it's merely a frustration vs a worry...if that makes sense:)

Patience is always gonna be the key BUT without ACTIVE communication, a minimum of every say 36-48 hours, well...then it may be time for you to communicate with them, make sure you request a read receipt - especially if it's been at least a week or so since you've heard from them...and perhaps offer them some...guidelines...and a time table, before you send it on to a mod:) If it were just one person, well...most can work around one but four is a bit excessive, especially if there is NOT communication from their end...you may be "low man" so to speak, but you still have rights...and for the future, would make double sure you have some kind of contingency clause in your tm! If they don't wanna comply with your wishes there, then move on...it may not have been meant to be to begin with:) Good luck!!!

That makes a lot of sense. There is still some communication, like "Not yet, oh well." I guess I am just feeling this way because I have four outstanding now and I tried so hard for all of these people, and succeeded. It will happen. Patience has never been my strong point. It is something I struggle with daily in this industry.

I have several I am waiting on myself, one since 3-14-09 and no communication at all.
Just hang in there and don't give up.

Every time I think about doing a g4g trade I hear how hard it is. I think I might reconsider.

g4g trade is not hard, you just have to be careful who you trade with. I have done a few g4g and they went fine. Sometimes you have to wait on the other person to get green.
