Need some advice about doing green for green?
Ok, although I've very much been pacing myself and "reading, reading, reading" as everyone's told me too, obviously the faster I can get the BIG prizes rather than just getting paid for referrals the better.
I only have one good trade recorded so far, and should have another 4 done in the next few days, but either way I'm guessing this isn't enough(plus the fact the I don't have the money to start paying people) to start on Method 2. However, with the worry about running out of the better offers at some point soon and me being anxious to make better money, I've been reading a lot about doing "green for green". However, I'm guessing there are mainly only 2 groups of people who do this very much, veteran traders and scammers. Obviously I don't want to trade with scammers(and trust me, I check people out THOROUGHLY before a trade), and with veteran traders, wouldnt most have already greened on most of the good sites? meaning they couldnt green for me even if they trusted a trade with me? Any answers to this would be much appreciated, and by the way.... <---------------I try very hard to follow the rules and even double checked before posting this thread and it seemed to be ok. If this last part is against the rules to post this here, please let me know, delete the post, edit it, or whatever you need to do, but please give me the benefit of the doubt and dont suspend or ban me. MOD EDIT: Yes the last part needed to be edited out because it is considered self promotion on the forum. Last edited by mfracc; 05-06-2009 at 09:48 AM. |

After it is, you'll find it here: http://www.freelunchroom.com/board/t...rral-referral/ As an alternative, you could make a whole new thread in the Trading Referral for Referral (the bottom link of the above two) section now, and just request the mods to lock this one--or edit out the last paragraph if you want to continue to receive answers to your original question. --Ken |

Whelp...this isn't the best place to post this one and imagine it'll get moved here shortly (you've done nothing wrong so no worries:))...
Yet there are more than 2 types of g4g'ers...and the wisest thing you can do is check with your mentors, see who they may suggest or find traders on the forum you may trust their word enough as many have names of newer folks who...like you....are just looking to jump start the system:) It's out there...it's just that sometimes we can't get things the minute we want them...OR without doing a lil "leg work" first, eh? :)

I agree with monksmom. There are some vets who are always up for a g4g. So if you have any doubts after checking out someone iTr and feedback just ask around. Ask you mentor about them. Just don't jump right on in, better to do a little research first.
Hope it all goes well :-) |

Although you can still find some vet traders to do G4G's, at some point there has to be Trust somewhere, it makes sense to do trades with newer people as they have more options and ability to do more trades with you before running out of Offers.
Scamming has been cut down Like crazy, FLR has done a really good job with this but if you are worried about being scammed by newer members here's a little tip. Once you enter into a G4G trade, make sure that you both Start the same day. Next pay close attention to the Greening, if you Green first and your partner hasn't ask your IFW to hold the Green for X amount of days while you wait for your partner to Green. Also it's a great idea to stipulate how long you will wait upon who greens first. You can do this because newer folks have multiple offer options and there's really no reason for them not to Green fast unless they got a bad site... "Happy Tradings" Quote:

You have to go with your gut feeling...
Vet trades do run out of offers, but the sites are always adding new offers. And new sites will be added too! So there are options and it depends on the individual. This was a good question. Please don't stop asking questions.
