I've noticed that some users have trade threads in both the "paying for referrals" and "referral for referral" section. Is this allowed?

No, only one active trade thread in the entire trading area, thems the rules

You cannot have two active trade threads. If someone has two one really should be locked. If you see someone with more than one active one you should report it with the "report" button in the bottom left corner of each post.

Nope one active thread in the entire trading area. Report the duplicates to the mods and they'll take care of it.

thanks! that's what i thought was the case. i saw it a few times in the past week and wasn't sure if the rules had changed.

Nope the rules are the same only one active tread thread so make sure they are both active as one may be locked. If they are both still active then yes that is against the rules.

okay.... so the last one i saw was where the user has only one active trade thread, but they still have a signature routed to the "paying for referrals" trade thread.

I would report the thread that is being linked in the signature thread to ensure that the thread is no longer being circulated while the user is advertising with a different thread, because he is currently getting the best of both worlds

I agree that you should report this to the mods....it definitely sounds like something that should be looked into by them.
