Do you pay paypal fees when you pay your refderrals?

Hi,

Just wanted to know if anyone pays the paypal fees too besides the 100% that they are willing to pay their referrals.

I have a ref who says that when she gets paid, the person whom she greens for pays her 100% and also covers the paypal fees.

Re: Do you pay paypal fees when you pay your refderrals?

It never ceases to amaze me! Now they want to be paid 100% plus the fee's so you will take a loss??? If you agreed to and it is in the tm, to pay 100% just pay the 100%. If the trade has not been set up yet, I would personally tell them to find someone else to trade with. Just my opinion.

Re: Do you pay paypal fees when you pay your refderrals?

you can do mass payment and the fee will be just 1/2 of what it would be...

Re: Do you pay paypal fees when you pay your refderrals?

Whelp...I've not ever set up a trade stating I was paying 100%...lol...always a dollar value and also not every payment to a ref has had fees...if they've had to repay me, then I take that loss but if I'm paying say $40 and paypal only sends THEM $39 or whatever, then that's their concern as I usually bonus them up anyways and they'll make that up.

Also a quick note...if you use that personal option, disputing is going to be an issue so be wary and think ahead...merely an fyi. Each trader has got to do what they feel is "right" and no one can make that call for them but them, eh? :)

Re: Do you pay paypal fees when you pay your refderrals?

I don't pay 100% but about paypal fees, the sites i work on always approves quick so I send the payment as a gift and they get no fees. Don't use this option if it is a new member and they have not been approved yet by the site because if you go to do a paypal claim they wont let you because it was sent as a gift.

Re: Do you pay paypal fees when you pay your refderrals?

If you both have personal accounts, neither of you pay fees. You also need a business account to make a mass payment to addon to meziane67's reply.

that is not always necessary Glad...

a business account can send as a personal pymt and the receiver is not charged. Neither is the sender.

I send as a personal pyment.... when it is a friend of mine... knowing that I will not have to worry about red.... as like it has been mentioned, paypal disputes would not work well with personal gifts...

But why send personal if it is a business transaction? So the people who are starting this rumor about sending it as a personal instead of business service... they are misleading people.

This is a business to most and to take it off on your tax return, you need to show it as a business payment. That is that.

do what you want, everyone has that freedom to do that...

Re: Do you pay paypal fees when you pay your refderrals?

Exactly.

Taxes are a huge part (along with having the ability to dispute and win, of course!) of why we keep - or should keep - this as business only. Although I am huge on freebie trading being an opportunity, lil aspects like being clean with the IRS is very, very important, so...although most certainly everyone needs to do what works best for them, keep in the back of the mind what such a challenge will present with the revenue department on those taxes....:)
