Re: Insight, please.
I've been doing the "advocacy" thing as long as I've been a mentor...that is just part of mentoring, no new trick.
However...one thing everyone should keep in mind is...human nature:) We are naturally born cynics after the age of 6...pure fact. We are raised to question everything, especially if it seems like it might work yet be easy at the same time, pure fact. Yet even when something slaps us in the face such as proof pictures and even seeing the merchandise (I've had folks over to see the ps2, the wii, ipod, xbox, even power tools!), yet still....they don't see it as theirs and are STILL gonna be skeptical:) The best luck I've had with anyone I know personally doing this has been to sit down with them, block out a few hours of time and bring in snacks...lol...seriously...and THEN offer them a money back guarantee, meaning I'd pay for their offers, if they didn't want to continue or found issues or concerns they felt were unhealthy or couldn't be dealt with:) lol...and ya know what I find more amusing than anything?????? I've had little luck with those within my proximity going forward. May do one trade completely and ya know what's been their excuse for not doing more???? Get this....it's too hard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <sigh> Folks is funny and marketing experts have spent decades trying to define the perfect system, but there ain't one...freebie trading needs to get a bit more mature and build a bit more reputation before it becomes "blessed" and folks stop seeing it just as just another internet scheme:) Until then? We do the best we can to approach and present it in a realistic fashion, kill the hype and glitz, keeping a few choice buzz words...and counter as much of the negative as possible:) What trading folks don't realize is...each time they badmouth a trading forum, what they are doing is really minimizing freebie trading...negative of any kind WILL attach itself to the product or service, not just the vehicle, eh? :) Do what you can to keep being the best you can be...it'll all work out as it should...time, patience and a positive attitude...alway!

Re: Insight, please.
I haven't gotten that--I can't be sure why; have you called their attention to this:
Free Lunch Room is the #1 Freebie Forum on the web with 127,117 registered members, 156,881 threads with 3,207,251 posts. I don't think there's any substitute for that statement when it comes to building credibility for the business. --Ken |
