I have a freebie trading website that I had professionally made so I could drum up some business. I keep hitting brick walls. Why does everyone insist that freebie trading is a scam? What do you say so they at least look into it? When you place an ad, what are some things you are saying to avoid sounding like a scam? Any insight would be appreciated.

I think the biggest problem is overcoming the "I want to make money now" thing. Most of the people I have attracted through my website sign up on the sites and never go any further. The comments I get most are "it's an awful lot of work for the few $ I can make". So I try to explain the difference between method one and two, and why it's important to do method one. But again, most people don't seem to want to put in the time or effort to get to method 2. This has been my biggest set back with working outside of the forum.

Well I think that you could get some people over to FLR to "check out the scene" cause it's free to sign up. Invite them to browse the forums and tell them how many members we have.

No I haven't, they mostly just complain about having to spend to much time and money for a few bucks. It's very hard, for me anyway, to keep them interested.

Even after they check out FLR they still think it's a scam; even my closest friends and family members haven't bought into it as yet. But what can we do? - except keep trying.

What I am going to do is pass out some flyers at the local college- and tell them I am hiring part time workers and give them my phone # and email and a pen with the Freelunchroom logo on it.

I think people are wary of using their credit card info in the age of identity theft.

I would post more picture proof. People like to see the real proof instead of just hearing about it. Get user testimonials. Give the truth that it's not hard, but it takes effort. A lot of the time things sound too good to be true. Freebie trading can be difficult so they need to know it's not a sit back and watch your money pile up kind of thing.

It may help if you put a link to your easiest site on there. Give them the chance to try it out. Like a half credit site or one offer to green site. Let them see how easy it is. Keep the instructions simple. Then if they like it, you can move ahead with them...even if they do not choose to join FLR. $$ is $$. Some will do one site and see its not for them....that's ok, you've made a little cash. Some will do it, like it, join FLR and do more!!

I am doing this at colleges also but my best response so far has been from Grocery store Flyer with business cards in pocket at bottom for them to take.
I don't push the money angle as much as free stuff.
That gives them a chance for a good Christmas for the kids.

The Credit Card ID theft is the biggest hurdle I have had to overcome.
What I offer to help quell that is offer research.
While we are not allowed to tell a trader what offers to do,
I will offer to research any offer that someone is interested in to make sure they know any pitfalls of an offer they may be interested in.
That way I am acting as their advocate.
