Keeping track of your referrals
I notice some people have huge lists of freesites they offer. Is there a way of keeping track of all of their referrals' statuses? I know of a program called Green Checker or something like that, but it only keeps track of 8 different networks. How do you take care of this?

Re: Keeping track of your referrals
Many here, including myself, use some sort of method to track, yes...you kinda have to, eh? :) I use both a notebook/paper and electronic method to track users, sites, payments and even keep my prepared scripts, posts, etc, via electronic form. This is one of those "whatever works best for you" thingies for sure as it's up to you on how comfy you are with your tracking base:)
However, verifying greens and activity on sites is best left to manual intervention...meaning check your sites manually - even when volume is high:) My main reason for having this opinion is there are also often notes from the sites themselves, replies to support tickets or even holds...you aren't going to keep abreast of that kinda stuff otherwise...not consistently:) Yet I am also really big on following my refs and backing them up with tickets and such if they've bothered to mention any issues or concerns or if I'm just curious about user activity, etc...I enjoy a pretty healthy relationship with most of my networks, thus...well...I really feel manually appraising the situation is wisest...plus it's a lot faster way to work that order button! LOL!! Good luck and may you find something that truly does work best for YOU...that is what this is all about:)

Re: Keeping track of your referrals
Many people have a lot of sites but I think most of us mainly work a set of a few of those that we have. Honestly, I have a low tech way of keeping up with my refs. I just keep the sites I send them to open all the time and refresh every once in a while. lol
Like mom said...whatever works for you. Green checker is ok, but as you said, it doesn't work for a majority of sites out there. I never found a use for it but did like the idea of it.

Re: Keeping track of your referrals
Over time you will see what works for you. I have changed my ways on how I keep track many times, but once I found a way that works for me, I just knew. And you will know too.
Basically, I keep track on paper. I use a separate sheet of paper for each of my traders. I record as much info as I can about each trader. And when i need to check my referrals progress, I just go to the sites and refresh. I'm sure you will find what works best for you too. Good Luck!!!

I also keep track of each referral on paper. I made up a chart to keep tract of all of the important info I needed about each ref. and to also keep tract of what info I have sent to them. Keep asking questions and you will succeed.

Re: Keeping track of your referrals
i know this isnt a very new thread but i wanted to share how i keep track as well.
I bought a notebook and gave up a page to each site i do and i write down the reffs on the appropriate page for example: Games FFAMK FLR name: .......... Email signed up on site with: .......... Credited.......... Paid amyado ............ aj@gmail.com .......... .................... ........ yes ............ $35 (7/28/08) bensenhh6 ............ quickboy@aol.com ..................................yes ............ $22 (8/22/08) *none of that above was real.... i totally made up the names, prices, and dates just to show the example

Re: Keeping track of your referrals
Whatever works best for you is what I suggest to stick to. For me when I have done trial offers in the past, I made sure I printed out the confirmation page and maybe write some details on the printout when I was signed up and from whom. Sure is not real neat notes nor on notebook but it works for me. I am sure others have a bunch better way of going about but just thought I share what I do.
Which ever you do, you want to make sure you do keep track of the referral site and the trial offer you have done as well as when you signed up and what the terms are if will bill so much a month if you do not cancel within so may days. I have been hit with this before when I had forgot about one I signed up for and was stuck with the charges from the site which I didnt even want in the first place. So the important thing is to keep good notes however you do it whenever justs on notebook paper, your print out or in a Word document, etc.

Re: Keeping track of your referrals
i pretty much just keep a log in MS word. date, site, amount paid, date paid. i try to keep it simple, too complicated and i get myself confused. good luck in finding what works best for you.

Re: Keeping track of your referrals
In the beginning when I started, I was printing out copies of the offers I was completing along with trial periods and such. I then started a Spread Sheet in Exel where I kept track of all that information as well as a second sheet where I kept track of all my referrals. One day my computer crashed and I lost all of that information, I was sick over that. I believe it's a good idea to keep track with good ole pen and paper. The notebook is a super idea.
