Question on Trading w/PayPal Verified or not - FreeLunchRoom - The #1 Freebie Trading Forum on the Internet!

Can somebody elaborate what is the value or benefit of trading with someone who is PayPal verified versus trading when someone is not PayPal verified. I see many who are paying for referrals that will pay on green for verified but wait for approval to pay if not verified. My account is PayPal verified but I'm just wondering when I move to Method 2 is it easier to dispute with PayPal if someone scams you if they have a verified account?

I think because verified members have their bank ccount connected to it and identity as well with that

well the way it goes is that if a referral goes red on you , and if the referral is paypal verified you can file a dispute with paypal about the payment you gave this referral and they will try to help get the money back for you, they wil not do this if someone is not verified, also there are some sites that will not cash you out until you are paypal verified, this is why traders will only pay a referral who is verified on green , and only pay on approval if a referral is not paypal verified

I know this is the reason I had to change my policy. I always used to pay on green regardless of paypal status...I got bit once on a site that, to that date, did not require referrals be paypal verified for cashouts, but had recently changed the rules.

As to staying safe from scammers, paypal verification has little value in that. Most scammers are paypal verified. To be paypal verified, all you need to do is attach a back up funding source, like a bank account or a credit card.

Of course, there is no real reason to stay unverified, and it is very easy to do. In fact, if you use online banking, you can become verified within minutes these days.

This is all great advice from everybody. It's also something to know that's very helpful in deciding how you want to set up the terms of your trades.

My biggest reason to trade with only varified is that there are networks that will place a hold on non varified members, which kinda puts a break on things until they get verified... If they come back. I always ask my traders in the first reply i send to them.

On some sites, when you do an offer, you will go RED if you are not paypal verified.

Most sites I work with won't pay on a referral that is not verified. I have had several go red at cash out because they are not verified. Most everyone I see is verified or in the process of becoming verified so it is not really a problem anymore.

How do these sites know if a referral is paypal verified? Most sites I've done don't even require a paypal email (it's optional) and the email I use to green a site is different from my paypal email which i would think is true with a lot of people. So how do they know?

The sites that require it WILL have you put it in there...it won't be an option:)

And the bottom line is...when you are trading, you must be verified anyway...so it shouldn't be an issue...it's simply just having your bank and the site "talk" for a minute and poof...done:)

If someone doesn't have a bank account, take $20 and open one...all paypal is going to do it take a buck from there...and send it back...to make sure they've got all the routing and stuff they need down the road:)
