Re: security question

the forum should have a privacy statement - there is not too much info you give out here

for the internet use in general - install the keyscrambler on firefiox :) helps preventing others to see what you type

I never heard of the keyscrambler. I have to look for that and install it. Thanks for the good advice.

Interesting question...violated while on the forum? I strongly doubt that would happen at all and why should it? lol...while on the forum, we only have/use what's right in front of us, no cc info, no ssan's, little to no personal data...not really worth a thief's efforts, is it? :)

I've read a lot about that key scrambler around the forum and may be worthwhile from an offer's standpoint, though. We know, of course, to still ensure the "s" is following the http on any page where we are going to give out personal data....we know to check our desktops at start up as often hackers will risk stupidity as most folks have so much on their desktops they wouldn't notice some cutsy lil icon that was destined to give them grief or bother to check out the programs loaded on their computers from time to time to make sure no new "items" have popped up, we realize the imperative to a strong detection program run at a minimum of weekly, etc, etc:)

Take your time, be aware of your environment, page changes, screen messages, account charges, don't respond to emails requesting data without verifying the sources, etc...and you should be fine. I've been on the net since the early 80's, had only a couple pesky bugs and only a close call or two on a hacker...yeah, you'll do fine...just take your time and be aware...no different then in the real world:)
