Re: trade thread

It looks like you have some great sites there to sell your referrals with. Dont forget to put your site names and prices in your trade thread so people can decide if they can do your sites. You can also check the subforums for your sites at the bottom of the page to see if they have any specials. You could feature those sites with a higher paying rate as a special, which always helps to sell greens. Very good luck to you! And hey it needs to be said, since things are so slow right now, don't expect to get referrals right away by any means. NO ONE is getting alot of greens right now, not even veteran traders. And I don't want to scare you but your low tr (although I know you worked hard for it) is going to make you a major scammer target. BE CAREFUL WHO YOU TRADE WITH!!! Look for higher tr, high post count, people that ask lots of questions, people who are not impatient, and NEVER pay someone before they confirm the trade in the trade manager. Good luck again.

:) Mary

Re: trade thread

Start out making your thread in a pm...that's right, in a private message. Every element of code works the exact same way there as it does in a trade thread (although the 5,000 character limit needs to be kept in mind if you're wordy, like me:)). That way, you can "see" what you've got without showing it to the world until YOU are satisfied...and it's also easier to share with those trusted to you if you want reviews as asking in the forum for folks to review your thread can be construed as self-promotion...and you want to stay within the rules:)

It's also easier in a pm to and from yourself so it can be a work in progress...with no rush, no fuss, whilst you do get a firm grasp on being a referral. Remember, each NETWORK, not site, you do...get involved with/do a trade on, adds more experience to you and increases your portfolio:)

The more you know about a variety of networks through personal experience, the more knowledge you have to share with YOUR referrals:) Don't get me wrong...5 trades is a nice number, however, you will have experienced pretty much of the freebie world by 10 or 12...and it will also allow you more knowledge about the offers themselves. Bottom line...the more answers you have within, the better/faster and more readily you can help others...and when folks is having a crisis, which they do from time to time...they don't really wanna wait while you go seek out something that you prolly should already know:)

lol...am not at all trying to be a naysayer, just wishing/hoping that all new up and coming traders realize how they start and how they travel the path is what will lead them successfully forward...or on to frustrated failure:) Make it all good and by all means, make it the best you you can be! Good luck!!

Re: trade thread

lol...coulda sworn I'd shared that with you long ago...but then again, I AM old...and at times, sl-o-o-ow...lol!!!

And word docs are nice and all yet there is never, ever a chance of formatting change when it goes from pm to thread...unless the user hand removes something:) I've had files convert...lol...making my wysiwyg...questionable, to say the least! At least in the pm, it can remain a work in progress...and never a link may change, etc, notepads also are NO drain on the system at all..you can have 20 of them up and running at once and there ain't no pull on memory...I like that!!:)

It is advised, though, that after a thread is created or other stuff you really wanna keep, you save it all over...code and all...in a Notepad. Why? Whelp, it's just a copy of what is there...nothing will ever change and in the event of something ever missing around the forum....lol...bottom line, I've had to use my files a couple of times over my length of stay here and been greatly relieved I had 'em:)

To each their own....find a method that works best for YOU and run with it:)
