When is a good time to start method 2

I now have 6 trades under my belt and am waiting on the credits to go through for my 7th. I am starting to become exhausted with the process of filling out offers, waiting to be credited, so on and so forth. What I am trying to say is that I am very ready, mentally anyways, to move on to method 2. However, I'm not sure when the best time is to start, and I am also not entirely sure HOW to start. Any suggestions?

Angelo

Hi Angelo,

Do you have a mentor that you've been working with? If so, contact him/her to help you set out a plan that will get you where you want to be.

If you don't, you should contact any mentor around here and ask them if they might could help you devise a plan.

Technically, you can start Method 2 whenever you feel you are ready. The number 1 criteria I would suggest is that you can help a new member green and guide them with all the info they need...because you will need to do that if you are paying for referrals. The competition in Method 2 is heavy because of so many doing it. Because of that, I also recommend you have at least a double digit TR. This just "looks" better to new traders but it also qualifies you to become a PPD mentor (if you came thru PPD).

Hope that helps some :)

I got started when my TR was 7. Of course the higher you can get it the easier it is to start, but it's entirely a personal decision. From the sound of it I would seriously recommend beginning method 2 immediately. You can still keep doing offers or g4g too, so there is no reason not to start a trade thread and working on method 2. Go for it I say

As far as how, the links in my signature should be useful, as well as the member tutorials sections about method 2, threads, signatures, etc...

http://www.freelunchroom.com/board/m...1-17-09-a.html

Hope that helps!

I suggest going ahead and setting up for method 2 and starting but also do method 1 at the same time to get more experience and a higher tr.

I'd go ahead and make a trade thread and start that process. Just cause you have a paying for refs thread doesn't mean you can't do some g4gs maybe, or be a referral for people when the refs are coming in slow. It's what I've been doing. When I see a site I can do I do it to boost TR, and get some refs at the same time.

I have been working with a mentor, and they have been great! However, I wanted to get the advise from the masses, because I know that different people do things differently. So with method 2 being so competitive, is there enough business for everyone, or is there just a few who really profit from this?

That's a great idea..to compare. I have done that many times.

Oh, there is enough business. And, in my opinion, this is just going to continue growing. It's all in how you market yourself so people find you. Honestly, some people do better than others and it will always be that way. Some people just know how to market better than others. But find your niche and go from there. Just remember that in the beginning, it's a building process and will be slower. It takes time to build your name but if you stick with it and be patient and put all you can into it, it will pay off.

What I find the biggest factor in people quitting is stress. If you keep in mind the fact that it will be different for everyone and this ebbs and flows and focus on having fun...then keep the making money part as the nice "side dish", you'll go very far! Don't let it stress you ever..if it does, it's not worth it. This should be a fun hobby that makes you some extra cash on the side. You'll never fail if you keep that mindset. :)

I say that you it would be ok for you to move foward when you have a few more trades, like about 10 under your belt. Just know that you can help others properly through the greening process, and be prepared for questions. There are tons of great people around FLR that you can ask for help

Good luck Angelo. I would get my thread ready. You already have a great signature.
One thing you really should do is POST. Post everywhere! Answer questions, give advice, play some of the games. This will get people to notice your name which is what you want in method 2.
