Alright,

Thank you everyone for being very patient for the past 3 days, let me tell you exactly what happened.

Over the past couple of days, the site has been getting hacked. At first, it seemed like simple design problems as I was changing the templates, but the fact was, someone was trying to get inside the site. Before any panic ensues, I assure you, no private or personal information was touched. All databases with your names and private information has never been accessed by anyone other then me and my team. Let me repeat that, your private information was not compromised, the hack was not intended to access them nor could they access them if they wanted to.

What the hackers did however was simply make the pages inaccessible to everyone by injecting two lines of code into my template files. This code was an iframe that essentially re-directed people to another website where they could potentially download your basic trojan.

For the majority of you, this did little harm, even your basic internet firewall could stop the attack because it simply wouldn't re-direct anywhere. Hence why a lot of you saw "alert - This URL doesn't exists" or something along that nature.

Point being, everyone is safe.

Now this was a very sophisticated hacking operation, so a sophisticated team of people needed to deal with it.

I have then made the decision to run PrizeFast on its own dedicated server. This is rather expensive but ensures that there always a team of people patrolling the hosting matters of the site. In the basic sense, many of you have sites and all of you I can assume have shared hosting - A server has hundreds upon hundreds of sites and you are one of the sites. Now PrizeFast has its own server meaning we are the only site on the server and all administrative attention is on PrizeFast. This in all adds to the fact that when you use PrizeFast, you're always getting the best there possibly is.

It is my hope that with a dedicated server, the speed of the site will be faster and all around, problems will be a rarity.

So back the issue, my admin team has been working on the site and has eliminated the virus and hack in its entirety. There are a couple of more administrative things that need to be taken care as everything is new but it shouldn't take long now. It was my hope to have everything completed by the end of today but you guys just can't believe the workload we had in the past three days.

With the weekend coming up, I want to strive to get things done as soon as possible and get everything rolling again because people just can't afford not have PrizeFast in their threads

But in all seriousness, this is probably the most serious issue that can ever arise with any freebie site. Luckily it came now then later because no matter what anyone throws at us now, we'll be ready.

Anyway, to sum up, I hate to tell people to be patient but that indeed is the case. I want to set up all the security measures up and make everything work at the most optimal level. Server changes on its own take 2 days and that has already been done which means that in the future for PrizeFast, there won't be the usual 2-3 day wait that most freebie sites have to endure when they switch servers.

So hold tight, cross your fingers and please be a bit more patient. Meanwhile I'm going to get some rest because the past 3 days have been very intense. Until then.

Wow...am wondering if it's the same "folks" that nibbled on znz and there was another network here lately, too...you would think so as it's such an odd niche to hit anyway....gotta be someone(s) with a vested understanding of trading....just my opinion, of course, but dang....you'd think it'd get old!
