Did you all see on the news where a yard fire, which was thought to have been put out, relit somehow and started a HUGE fire, I think it ended up burning up like 70 homes? This was actually on Wednesday but I just saw it on the news last night, which I thought was odd as I watch the news every day.

my friends' beach house burned down but of course they were insured, just lots of lost memories

That is the real tradegy of fire, not the material things but the memories, the pictures, and keepsakes you cheerish that no amount of money can replace. Sorry to hear about both of your friends.

My niece lives in Houston and her apartment burned down a few months ago, and a few months after that her mom's house in Deer Park (right outside of Houston) burned down (got struck by lightening).... 2 family members, same town different locations within 2 months of each other.... they have lost a lot too!

I've dealt with a lot of loss recently in my life so I feel for anyone whenever I hear stories like this. It's really tough.

Wow, didn't hear about that till' now. I love Myrtle Beach, I have gone there a lot in my lifetime. Hope the people were insured and everything.
