I would love that! Although with her age I too would have opted for the monthly payout. What does anyone need that much money upfront for? Plus, you lose less in taxes that way. You still get a chunk each month you could easily live on with money left to invest. With the way the economy is right now she's not going to get a good return on her money invested....it's not worth taking it all now. Oh well though...1.9 mil deposited into a checking account at once is hard to turn down....

It's nice to hear about deserving families winning ! I would have opted for the payments too, especially becasue they are so young and you get taxed less that way! Oh well, I'd take it however they wanted to give it to me LOL
