Should it not be black and white in terms of who is expected to pay the bill for long term welfare mommas who REFUSE to get off of welfare? It need not be any more complex than this, unless someone would like to like to volunteer to pay their bills for them, without using taxpayer $$$$'s.

I feel for the babies. No matter what the solution, the babies are going to be negatively affected. If the State takes her babies away you know what will happen...she'll just get more in-vitro babies! Yes, the doctor needs to be sanctioned too.

I feel for the babies too. But the thing that gets me is 6 kids already, no job no money and lets go have more. I just hope those kids will be OK. She has severe mental problems, maybe when she gets her degree, she can treat herself.

But I feel sorry for those poor kiddos and her too actually. I don't think she knew what she was getting herself into and I am wondering what is going on in her mind.
I do think the Dr. should be somewhat liable here. HE knew what he was doing! Of course maybe he didn't expect them all to take!
She didn't ask for 8 kids! But, asking for one more when not already working was OUT THERE TOO!
It is a mess but should we keep crucifying this woman? If everyone in the US gave her a penny, only a penny, just think those children could have a better life. And most of us could all spare a penny. Times are tough thougth and I am thinking there are so many little children now that need homes perhaps they should stop this invitro process for single people. Why not adopt? But of course then we are getting into infringing on peoples choices so this opens up a whole new can of worms.
Some women want to be preggo and carry their own children, I get that too.
I know though that if a couple wants a child and for some reason they can not produce but want to have their own or at least part of their own then it is choice again.

It is a mess and I feel for her and the whole family. Her poor father plans to work himself to death for his grandkids.

So...............you are actually saying "if they have the money, they can have all the kids they want, but if they are poor they can't" If it is money that it all comes down to, than a lot of very wonderful people who have done wonderful things in our lives, would not have been born. Like..........Einstein. I believe he was child #5 in a family where the first 4 born were handicapped. You can't make the USA a communist country, if you like the idea, move to China!

I agree that people that should not get in over their heads with so many children but I sure don't want our government controlling everything. It already controls too much as it is!

I realize you come from a poor back ground and a large family...that was then, and not now, (no offense is intended,) but in this day and time, why have children if you KNOW you cant afford them? I don't like the idea of promoting financial strife for a family. Nowadays when a family is in financial strife how much harmony is there? How much pressure does that put on mom and dad to provide? Lots. "So let's have TONS of kids that we can't afford so we can suck off the government and be a burden to the taxpayers of society!" Is that truly a healthy example to teach our children? Inasmuch as I can agree with you, studying the masses shows a different perspective. In the capitalistic society in which we live in IT DOES BOIL DOWN TO A DOLLAR BILL. If $$$ truly werent that important, tell that to your creditors. Unfortunately "they" dont quite see it that way.

We live in America, and the way to enjoy the riches that America has to offer is thru a dollar bill. I didnt make the rules, I simply acknowledge them. Granted there are lots of things that one can enjoy for free, but true freedom come with a financial price tag on it.

China incorporated sterilization to help counter overpopulation. By the way, America is becoming more and more socialistic, and when it comes to a body of politics, socialism leads to communism.
