I am not a fish lover. Does anyone have a good recipe for salmon? I keep trying and it all tastes the same to me. I have one way to make it and it's not healthy at all. Loaded with butter and lemon. Is there a better way to prepare salmon that's good for you?

I like making salmon patties... (JT could give a better recipe)

but I add egg, seasoning and fry it.... (with or without butter) Sometimes just on a non-stick pan works...

It is plain, but good.

yeah girly try olive oil instead of butter way healthier . throw some fresh tyme, sage and rosemary along with a touch of garlic in the pan. also try scoring the skin and seasoning with salt and pepper.

if your really adventurous you can do some crushed red peppers in with the salt an pepper. or exotic and use taco seasoning

That all sounds good. I was only using a little butter and lemon juice. Thank you for the input. I am going to try that tomorrow night.

oh yeah i did forget to mention that you can still use the lemon...also dill works REALLY well with salmon
damit now you have me thinking of all of the different things that you can do. so try this...take a small amount of butter melt it down and put the dill and sage it in. put it back in the fridge so when it hardenes again you can put it on your fish while its cooking and let it melt in to the fish. oooo oooooo salmon fajitas...oh man now i gotta hit up the im so hungry thread...oooo you can cook it in some red wine and make a reduction...red wine fish stock garlic, sage. cook everything together and then cook the fish in it...

the best way for me is to leave it at the store. yuck, don't like that stuff. lol

I marinate my salmon in bourbon and soy sauce, then bake. Yummy.
