Hot Dogs for dinner
Well it's getting to be warmer and I volunteer with our local Young Life group. Today we're having a big picnic and cooking hot dogs for everyone.
I personally will only eat hot dogs when they're cooked on the grill and pretty crispy on the outside. What other ways can we cook the 'dogs for the kiddos?

barbeque weiners. In crock pot with grape jelly and mustard - or- in a big pot with onions, ketchup, vinegar, sugar, hot peppers, and weiners of course.

We just came back from a camping trip and we all know that hot dogs are a staple while camping. I LOVE, LOVE mine BBQ'd on the grill and they have to be crispy on the outside. I always keep mine on the grill a little longer, sometimes I even toast my bun too. Then comes the relish and mustard and it has to be the guldens mustard, now I want a hot dog LOL

Hmmm if you say hot dog to a NYer..we only think of Nathans!! Yum. Let them have like a hot dog sundae kinda set up. All the topping they could think of set up for them to decorate their hot dogs however they'd like.
On a side note, I just watched and episode of "How's That Made" and they showed how they make hot dogs...I wish I'd never seen it! Yuck! But I'll still eat them! |

luv to dip chips in beans and weenies. i buy pillsbury crescent rolls and wrap them aroung the hot dogs and bake for easy pigs in the blanket.

Thanks for the great ideas! I didn't have time to do the crockpot weenies so I just took some barbeque and all the side fixings for the kids to top em off! They were a big hit! I agree about all beef franks! I've heard stories about the show on how they're made... I've tried to avoid because I like to have me a hot dog every once in a while.
Oh yeah... I almost forgot I'm gonna do the pigs in a blanket this weekend with the crescent rolls! I can't wait!
