Re: What do you like to read?

I forgot about Steven King books...

I have a bad memory...

I have read a good number of books, and sometimes don't even pay attention to author!

LOL! I know the feeling. I couldn't remember the last Harry Potter book the other day and I just listened to the audio book earlier. I hate it when that happens.

Baen Books Science Fiction & Fantasy - Home Page has put a lot of books up in their Free Library including On Baslic Station the first of the HH books. Also if you go there check out 1632 by Eric Flint. This is the first in the Ring of Fire series about a modern Verginia Mining town gets sent back in time to the middle of Europe during the 30 years war. Also check out a book called Fallen Angels. The authors name escapes me at the moment but If you are remotely involved in SF and F fandom you might get a kick out of it?

SPX
cool i might check some of them out!!!!!!

Re: What do you like to read?

Yea my sister and I started reading those after seeing the movie. One of the most disturbing films/books I've read. Never read past that one though. I allready had several series/authors I was collecting at the time and I also had a comics and anime habit taking up what little money I had at the tine. May have to see about getting ahold of those again, anime habit willing.. Maybe I'll pick em up when I start trading.

Re: What do you like to read?

The scariest book I have ever read is The Tommyknockers by Stephen King- to me scary is good!

Re: What do you like to read?

The Tommyknockers was a great book. One that scared the frak outa me was Prey by Michal Criten.. This was about a plague of intelligent bio mechanical nanites that take over this lab in the desert. This is a little more plausible then it sounds and I'm kinda a germaphobe. Imagine little smart machines running around in your blood system... (Shutter)

Re: What do you like to read?

Love! Grendal and Harry Potter but lately have been reading Malcomb Gladwell. His books are on human nature and are an easy read as well. Michael Pollan is another favorite. I just finished Mark Twain "Letters From Earth".
