Fort Worth here!! Relatively new to FLR, but I am loving it!! My wife and I moved away from Texas for about 3 years but we are back to stay! Is there really any other place anyone would want to live?

I moved to the Dallas area about a year ago. LOVE IT! Originally from NJ so this is a HUGE change but it's AWESOME here!! Where else in the world can you have family night at the honkey tonk with BBQ, dancing, and drinking?? Never seen anything like it! I'm here to stay! Oh and here is DeSoto, just south of Dallas.

You need to visit Amarillo and try their 72 Oz Steak with huge 4 side dishes. It's free if you can finish it within an hour .............LOL. Or maybe Bhabes if you want fried chickens.

Cold? Are you serious?? Ok I will grant you that there have been a handfull of 30-40 degree days but that's honestly NOT that cold. Especially when you have mostly 60-70 degree days with one of those colder days thrown in between. Honestly, in the winter, I'm use to it not getting above 40. The average daytime temp in Jersey winter is in the 20's. So I will GLADLY take one or two 30 degree days a week as long as those 60's and 70's are around the rest of the time! I know it can't be much warmer in WV during the winter. What get's ya here is the LACK of humidity. That makes everything cooler. Yes, even the 100+ degree days don't feel like it cause there's not humidity in there to muck it up. So maybe 30 degrees here feels colder for the same reason??

I've seen that place in Amarillo on the Travel Channel. It would probably take my WHOLE family to eat that steak! Plus isn't Amarillo like 8 hours away? That would have to be a weekend trip or something. One thing I love about Texas is it is HUGE! Tons of things to see and places to go.
