Yea I work for both, I think more money is made with ChaCha. They let you work whenever you want too. KGB is not as flexible.

Re: ChaCha
I sent in my account termination request about a month and a half ago. I just wasn't getting any queries. I was a ChaCha Guide. I had been with them for about a year and queries just stopped coming in. I would log in and sit for hours waiting for a query and eventually just logged out. Then I tried it the next day and I got like one query to answer out of 8+ hours of being logged in. Then the next day, I was constantly getting bumped out of the work area. I had contacted ChaCha a number of times and nothing was resolved.
ChaCha is not a stable company to work for. Getting queries aren't like it used to be in earlier months I was with them. I was getting them back to back making no less than $5 per hour. I was riding that wave and then ChaCha started changing things around and as they did that, it caused queries to not come through. I'd even text in a question through my own cell phone and wouldn't get a response back at all. I tried different days and no response. Then ChaCha started lowering their pay and it just got lower and lower for every position they have. ChaCha is just not what it used to be and that's not a good thing. Before I left ChaCha, you'd see a number of people complain on their forum. Some thread titles would be 'Any queries today?' or 'It's slow today.' It wouldn't be just a one time thing that you'd see those kind of threads being posted. It became a regular thing there on their forum. People would post how they hadn't received a single query in an entire week. And it would the typical thing because I had that same situation along with many others. ChaCha used to be really great. Until they work out the kinks in their system, you'll be extremely lucky to even make 10 cents let alone one dollar every hour for 5 hours minimum. It's highly unlikely to make a buck a hour, that's why I say you'd be extremely lucky if you did. Even their contests aren't what it used to be. I mean, they used to be spitting out several thousands of dollars in contest winnings to ChaCha workers. But that got chopped to and now they only have contests to make $5. It's like what?! And it's like a slap in the face because the contest would be centered around a certain amount of queries you are to answer in order to be eligible for the $5. But if people aren't getting queries, then they can just kiss that little $5 chance good-bye. ChaCha knew this. How could they not? This was a company I promoted to my family, friends, and strangers. And you know, ChaCha just made me look bad. When my friends and a couple strangers I had referred jumped on board, then ChaCha started changing things and my referrals weren't making anything. It made me mad for obvious reasons. I like to help people and I saw ChaCha as a way to help people when it was helping me pay my rent. And now? I wouldn't recommend anyone get on with this company. It's a waste of time sitting there waiting for a query to answer. It's not like you get paid hourly. You get paid per query you answer. And if you get no queries, well you get no money and waste all of that time waiting for one. Would 10 cents be worth it? If you spent 8 hours waiting for a query and finally get one? That means you would have averaged 0.0125 cents per hour. Is that worth it to you? More than likely the answer is no. But that's what you can expect from ChaCha these days, if even that at all. They tell you to change your categories and all this other stuff. And you can do it but still not get any queries because they are always changing things around on the back-end side of the things. My average based on the volume that was coming I averaged out to about 5 bucks every hour. But that was a long time ago when ChaCha was doing well. It's not anywhere near that. Not even close. I'm personally an expediter and always have questions coming in, pretty much b2b... ChaCha is a great company in itself, because it offers a great opportunity to people that want to work at home!!!!!! Any opportunity is better than none.

My comments come from the perspective of an experienced ChaCha SMS Guide. From my personal experience and from observation of the forums and many complaining Guides at ChaCha and on other forums around the Internet (including personal and business blogs) I don't have to lie about this. I've seen a lot of people complain on their forum and on other forums about what I've spoken of here. So not the "norm"? Yes, it is. And it's terrible that you would say that ChaCha is a great company to work for. It is no such thing. I don't know how long you've been with ChaCha, but it is roller coaster ride over there and not a good one. My situation is not unique as you might think it is. It is very common. Google it and tell me I'm lying and be right if you say it. For example, if you head over to WAHM forum, or TechCrunch (or other sites) and you'll see others talking about the same thing I'm saying; if not more. Why? Because what I've mentioned is typical. People are saying Cash Crate pays better. You'd make more doing apartment mystery shops over at EPMSOnline; pays like $25 per shop (or is it $30?). And shops take under one hour to do. Now THAT'S a great opportunity. Or do Pizza Shops at Restaurant-Cops get reimbursed plus $5 bonuses (that sometimes goes as high as $20). So that's $5 per shop minimum, which is still better than 3 cents that ChaCha is paying its Expeditors. Or register with some other mystery shopping companies and get paid more. Three cents is no where near a great opportunity. Especially when you need to make $100 in order to cash out. How many hours do you slave to get $100? When you could do 4 apartments shops in less than 4 hours and get 100 bucks. And I can go. Knowing what I know, I will never encourage another person to go with ChaCha until their raise their pay and become a stable company to work for. Their contests are a joke and so is their pay scale that forever changing but not getting any higher. You're an Expeditor at ChaCha. Well, I have a friend out of NC who was an Expeditor. Past tense. She quit. Why? Obvious reasons. She had been with ChaCha when ChaCha was strictly on the Internet, way before they thought to go with the idea of ChaCha by cell phones. Don't know if you knew of that ChaCha (same company just they've moved on to answers by cell phones). I was going to get on with ChaCha at that time but chose not to; I was too involved in making money with gambling in HYIPs and MLM programs and benefactoring people into those programs. But ChaCha's pay was sooooooooooooo much better than it is now. Extremely better and that time would have been a great opportunity than now. A person has to be desperate to work for ChaCha now. I mean, come on 3 cents? Do you know how much they used to pay per question answered before they took their company mobile? If not, I'm not even going to say it. You can Google it and find the answer. Or better yet, ChaCha in the question; give one of the Guides out of over 50,000 of them an opportunity to make 10 cents. Text in the question to 242242. And then compare that number to what they are paying now to their Guides. You will be shocked out of your mind! Guides are sitting at a minimum of 10 cents per query now. And they keep dropping their rates. ChaCha keeps changing stuff around. That's not stability people can count on; especially when they've got families to take care. I'm single with no kids and quit ChaCha. How does that look?! And I've got other friends and acquaintances that are single no kids that quit ChaCha, too. See, my situation is not unique. It doesn't just happen to me. My friend, the Expeditor in NC, was trying to get on as Guide after I told her how much I was making. This was before I quit and before she quit. She's got three kids and being an Expeditor for ChaCha was way less than what Guides were making and it still is. There's no reason for me to lie. Anyone can see for themselves. This is not the company to work for. The money was really great back then. It is clearly not anymore. That's a fact. ChaCha did in fact lower their pay for all positions. That's a fact. ChaCha did in fact lower their contest pay from hundreds down to a one digit number. That's a fact. And I can go on. My conclusion is obvious. I'm not saying that people won't make any money with ChaCha because you can make your little three cents here and there if you're desperate and don't know anything better to go with. I'm simply saying it's a waste of time, knowing what I know and my experience with making money on the Internet. My situation is not unique. |

Anyways yes I'm still going to say it's a great opportunity..for me being a stay at home mom to 2 kids. Anytime I get to make money from home is a great opportunity for me, I will stand by that statement weather you like it or not.. Even if it is only 3 cents a query!!!! I've been with ChaCha for a year and a half and was around when queries were not coming in that often and the pay cuts and what not but that still won't stop me for making that extra money for my family while being able to stay home with my kids and be with them. It is all worth it in the end for me! If I didn't have kids, heck I wouldn't waste my time with ChaCha either!!! Sorry you don't feel the same, maybe someday, if you have kids? possibly? who knows... ;) -sigh- "Especially when you need to make $100 in order to cash out." I don't, I have pay me now and I make what I want and cashout when I want. :) "Guides are sitting at a minimum of 10 cents per query now." They have a pay scale which varies from .10 to .20 ...Just sayin' :) PS- I know all people with kids don't feel the same as me but I'm just going by what I feel and I would recommend this to any person any day just so they can have the same opportunity. ![]() Again- ChaCha is a great company in itself, because it offers a great opportunity to people that want to work at home!!!!!! Any opportunity is better than none. Anywho, Kids are asleep and I think I'll ChaCha a little before bed myself. :) |
