Maybe I don't understand the question...is it why do we need a contest? To which I agree...although it was fun, something different, and involved little time from administration, it's not a matter of necessity:)
If the question was/is why don't we traders do a contest? lol...good luck with that & have fun...seemingly too many ids in place but hey...never know what you guys and gals can do, eh? :)

well, the posting threads were fun but since it slowed down forget it...As trader any contest you do will be seen as self promo and that is not allowed...plus you would have to come up with the prize money and it might be for nothing
but hey, brainstrom your ideas and we will trow them at the wall like spaghetti and see which one sticks (trying to use analogy here lol)

Shucks....as long as you're doing a posting contest on your own thread, well duh...it's gonna be promotional and that's what we do on our threads:) Sure, folks whine and complain...pickings are lean, folks are jumping ship after a single trade, so naturally, well...but it's not much different than having folks get bonuses...just a passing thought:)
