User Cant Log On

I have a friend that joined today and she is having a horrible time logging in. She had her password reset and tried to copy and paste in her new password and she is still getting invalid information. The system told her that she has used up 5 of her 6 attempts to log on and to wait 15 minutes. She waited and still nothing. She gave me her username and password and I can log in as her with no problems. I have had her clear her cookies and restart her internet explorer but she still has no luck. Anyone have any ideas on why this could be happening or something else she can try?

No but I had a referral with the same problem a few weeks back!! Since you can log in as her, I would guess that it must be something with their computer but no idea what!! My referral had trouble for a few days then it just cleared up or she changed a setting for something else and it was fixed! Hope we get an anwser so we can help out others with this problem!

I hadn't thought about a different browser. I sent her a getting started guide and in it I tell people to use firefox for crediting purposes. I think it might be something screwey with her computer. She told me that she has a horrible time logging in on most sites. I think it is something that her husband has done to it. Hopefully she will follow the directions and setup firefox correctly. I will send her an email now and tell her to give it a try.

Lord yes...get them on Firefox! Although I am and will always be an IE kinda gal, I am totally impressed at how much more responsive Firefox is to ANYTHING pertaining to the freebie world...especially flr! I've gone from an almost constant battle just to log in and stay on to well, lol...being here too much at times:)

It may not be the ultimate for your ref but do hope it helps...it's a far sight easier than walking her through, setting by setting on system...:)

Just a reminder to you... I know you're just trying to help your friend, but don't make the mistake of logging on to freebie sites using their log on information on your personal computer. Your intentions may be good, but can get busted for that. Just a reminder....
I hope they resole their issues. Oh yes, and...Firefox is awsome. Since I've used Firefox, I haven't had any problems.

I would never log on to a freebie site with her info. I only did it here because we were trying to see if it was her system or something here at the FLR. I called her and she is going to have her husband setup firefox for her.
